Friday night was a good night.  I powered up the new 7 foot long module that
will be the throat for the staging yard and ran trains.

All was well except the BIG River Raisin 2-10-4 (PRR J1) had troubles with the
drivers binding in the flangeways at the turnout frogs.  I am using FASTTRACKs
#6 turnouts.  I got the problem partially corrected by over widening the flange
clearance a bit.

THE QUESTION for the group is:  Is anyone operating a River Raisin 2-10-4, and
and if so what turnout numbers are you using successfully?    According to
FastTracks, the diverging radius thru the #6 is 59 inches, well above the 48
inch min radius of the J1.

I am hesitant to run out and get a template for a larger turnout size if that
is
not necessary so your feedback is appreciated.
