Terry...Is the binding ONLY at the frog? Or does it occur between the frog and
the points on the curve of the closure rails?

I use Whiteoaks #6 turnouts and a friend has a River Raisin Models SP steamer
with 10 drivers (decapod?) that cruises through it without pain.

Yes, this is being done with an SP loco. No Pennsy stuff around here and so
the locos might be different in some critical manner. Does the Pennsy loco
have some sideplay on most of the drivers? If the center drivers do not move
sideways a fair amount, getting around a curve can be difficult.

Have you checked the gauge of both the track and the wheels? Have you checked
ALL the dimensions in and around the frog to be sure they are ALL correct? I
tend to think that "radius" is not the cause of your problem.

Good idea to ask around first. Be interesting to hear what comments are made
by others.

Pennsy in California????? You've gotta drive north to Los Altos and bring some
Pennsy stuff with you to run on the Mighty NYC. Coming to "S"acramento next
year for the big convention? You could triplehead your steamers with Bill
Lane's for a real show.
