Ed,
I made that statement tongue in cheek. I have never received the
impression that anyone was to avoid a wider friendship with modelers of
other scales. It is, of course, only natural that those who model in
one scale hang out, whether in person or on the internet, with those who
work in the same scale. As I stated in a previous post, my friend who
models in HO convinced me that I could construct a table, that I could
assemble a kit, that I could modify a kit, and that I could scratch
build. He has been very helpful over the years and I appreciate his
tutelage.
