John, Yes.  The car has already been built with a clerestory roof.   
I'm supposed to clean it up, add some details and repaint it.  All the  
pics I've found so far, as well as the brass model imported in HO,  
seem to have the later roof with the AC ducts like you see on the AM  
Pullman sleepers.  If I'm going to add details, make more accurate,  
etc., I guess I'll have to revise the roof.

Are you changing FROM a clerestory roof.? I have some wood Northeaster  
roofing I think.
