Awhile back I started a campaign on this list to solicit interest in a
Milw. Road 40' ribside boxcar via Smoky Mountain Model Works. In spite of some
with multiple interest shown (would buy more than one car) we fell far short of
Jim King's mandatory minimum of 50 cars (and I think later he changed that to
80 cars min.)
When I had contacted Jim King about him doing this car, he more or less
said I should try to garner the interest, so Tom Baker and myself tried to stir
up some interest.
I don't know if it would be wise or even proper to post to the Dispatch,
maybe to reach those not on the list.
I have no affiliation to Smoky Mountain, just a satisfied customer of
several resin kits and roller bearing trucks, but I am still willing to plug
for the ribside if more modelers step forward.
