Lessee if'n I understand this right.  You want to solicit orders for a product 
that Mr. King will manufacture and from which he will make a profit.  And you 
are concerned he might be upset if you obtain orders (on his behalf) via a 
publication.  Do you really think Mr. King cares where the orders come from or 
how they arrive?  He would probably give you a hearty "thank you" if you 
organized 80 orders for him.  You should ask him for a free kit in exchange for 
your efforts.  You could build it, write a product review and keep the car for 
yourself if it all works out as beneficial for everyone involved.  Go for
