Friends,
Yesterday I stopped by my local HS and picked up a copy of RMC to admire
the cover shot and inside feature! I also noticed the back cover ad
sponsored by Overland. No new brass, but they've apparently started a
on-line hobby shop selling regular stuff!
The businessman in me needs to ask--why? It seems as though the market
has several well-known on line dealers seemingly serving the market.
Perhaps importing brass isn't what it used to be! Very interesting.
In the ad, not being in HO; I was also amazed at the high price of the
Athearn engine and the reasonable/ low price on the ribbed Milwaukee
boxcar. I guess exclusive S has never had multi line distributor with
the budget for that much market reach. S Scenery and Hoquat are our
major S only sellers with both mail order and on site stores.
