Hi all --
I posted a new photo to the SLE&P album of the scale conversion of the AF
depressed center flatcar, also found in the “new photos” section. The upload
page no longer includes a checkbox that sends out an automatic URL notice, it
appears...
The conversion consists of RRM trucks, Kadee couplers, rivet hole covers, lower
flange on the car side, air line on one side, new brake wheels and stands, and
new paint and decals. The load is from Southwind Models as part of their 4
truck flatcar import of several years ago. The lettering is done to match a
PRR photo (supplied by Bill Lane) as closely as possible without resorting to
custom decals. Still to come? -- new stirrup steps...
Also glad that Terry Dillon liked the FNF thread revival.
