Hi guys (and gals) --

Time to revive the Friday Night Fun thread...

This week saw my B&O wagontop hopper car get decaled after ? many years. The
conversion of the AF depressed center flatcar was almost completed this week,
as well – lettering on one side, but then thoughts of grinding off the cast
stirrup steps has delayed doing the other side until sanity reigns. I also
found my stash of decals from before my move to AZ! Now I can continue in my
quest to have all my equipment painted AND lettered... Also happening this
week was a brain shower which made me use a part of a Barry Silverthorne
warehouse in a location different from where it was originally meant to go,
making a parking lot possible (and logical, to boot) to handle some of my
little autos.

On a different tack, I attended the local NMRA division meet in Phoenix last
weekend, and put out some NASG promotional materials. A few were picked up...

Left over events from past weeks are the arrivals of my Omnicon 2-8-0’s, now
painted and lettered for the SLE&P by a friend back in CA who does much better
work than I. He has two more locos and four cabooses in the queue now...
The 2-8-0’s are good pullers, as well as runners, hauling 15 freight cars of
mixed construction up 2%, probably about the same as the real thing would have
done.

Still being put off—wiring and structure building needed so I can finish
trackwork and get started on scenery!

Have fun!
