John: I admire your contributions and dedication to S scale, although I think your journal bearings tend to run a little hot at times (anybody remember when Nixon was "through with politics" before he became President? - DISCLAIMER! I use him as an example, not a political statement, to suggest that maybe the SAL project is not dead, yet, so stable your horses!)
I only vaguely remember anything about the SAL car, and nothing about later updates, etc. However, if I can get some kind of timeline, should this project be resurrected,I could be in for at least one, since The Humongous Company ships all over the nation and could use one in captive service. After all, in the past, I've paid a lot more, and waited a long time, for a lot less (sometimes nothing!) Keep us posted - this could become a reality!
