GUILTY as charged as far as the hot bearings comment goes. But most people
don't seem to understand that my 'hot bearings' are a sign of my passion, not
always anger.

  John:

I admire your contributions and dedication to S scale, although I think your
journal bearings tend to run a little hot at times (anybody remember when Nixon
was "through with politics" before he became President? - DISCLAIMER! I use him
as an example, not a political statement, to suggest that maybe the SAL project
is not dead, yet, so stable your horses!)

I only vaguely remember anything about the SAL car, and nothing about later
updates, etc. However, if I can get some kind of timeline, should this project
be resurrected,I could be in for at least one, since The Humongous Company
ships all over the nation and could use one in captive service.

After all, in the past, I've paid a lot more, and waited a long time, for a
lot less (sometimes nothing!)

Keep us posted - this could become a reality!
