There's no doubt about the good marketing sense SHS had when they decided on
their consolidation.
Jettie's H6 project was interesting and would've been a fit for me as my era of
modeling ends at the beginning of '51.
But not as nice as the larger Pennsy H class would've been because of the
quanity on their roster right up to the end of steam.
I think we (PRR enthusiasts ) would've made out better had we pursuaded Jettie
to possibly make the switch to bring in the
PRR H8, H9, or H10 after the H6 project didn't 'go'. At that time the cost was
$777. for the H6, so apparently under $800.
would've been a nice price for all the variations. It will be interesting how
the BTS
version works out. Maybe Bill can give us the latest update on that project.

As Jamie pointed out the PRR H6 was numerous at 1 time, but from my rosters
there were only 3 left live on the Susquehanna Division by 1952 IIRC. My era
of interest is a few years beyond that and as such was not a big interest
for me. It is significantly smaller than the later H8,9 and H10. Jettie
tried to offer the H6 and a B&O variant at one time but it did not happen.
Again if my memory serves me correctly I think the B&O bought some PRR H6
second hand, and that was Jetties attempted project to cover 2 roads with 1
loco.
