There is one Nord engine hear in Houston. And like Jace suggests, it really came from a different world. It appears that all the design went into the chassis, which was way ahead of it's time. Most of the appliances are quite crude and the entire tender likewise. However, I remember getting a price list from Nord in the mid-60's listing the left over castings. Most were around 10 cents each while the much better SSL&S were around 35 cents each. You got what you paid for. I think, like some of the Rex and SSL&S engines, you could purchase the kit in segments, tender, chassis and then boiler/cab.
