John, I am not against them, but I am skeptical that there is enough demand to get the price of these down to what you are hoping for. Its taken a long time for me to try code 100 track and code 100 wheelsets. There are probably a number of high-scalers on this list who are considering going the extra step to using code 110. Maybe some of these will go whole-hog and try the smaller wheels. The biggest thing I hate about all this is that we S-scalers are not all using the same track and the same wheelsets. But that is not going to change in my lifetime so there is no need for me to whine. As for being bold, John I think you set the standard on this yahoo list. That is not intended to be negative or positive, just a reflection. - Earl Henry, Nashville In a message dated 8/8/2011 12:10:45 P.M. I've never known demand to be based on a single person's ability or inability to work with the product. But what do I know... this is, after all, S scale, and there is nothing normal about it or it's supporters, right? But just for the record ... out of the 8 or 9 replies I've gotten to my posting about these wheels, yours is the only negative or disinterested reply. So as you see... there IS demand there. I've been using PROTO:64, code 87 wheelsets (which are far less forgiving than code 88) for the past 2 years and have absolutely no trouble putting or keeping my models on the track. Yet my ability to work with them has not increased the demand for them... (elbow) It's like I've said before, folks... if'n you ain't interested in one of my projects or a product I may be promoting... well... I think you get the picture. I am not asking NWSL to start producing these on a regular basis, I am merely sharing with everyone that NWSL has agreed to produce a small order of these for ME and ME ALONE. But, also, they said that IF there was enough demand, they would add them to their product catalog for ease of ordering for all interested modelers . I am well into converting from highrail to using Tomalco code 100 track and code 110 wheelsets. I am having a lot of trouble even putting the rolling stock on the track. I have not operated enough to know how hard it may be to keep the rolling trains on the track. But I would think using any wheelsets smaller than code 110 would just make it harder. So it is hard for me to envision a whole lot of demand for the code 88 or anything smaller, though more power to those of you who are able to do so. - Earl Henry, Nashville [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 6358 (20110807) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 6361 (20110808) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
