Stinson started the line in 1946 and when S Gauge fizzled in the 50's 
he sold it to Charlie Beedle who marketed the inventory as "Nord".

BTW there was an aircraft manufacturer. named Stinson that made 
Tri-motors back in the 20's and 30's. Island Airways had several of 
'em operating into the late 50s (or 60's - can't recall). They were 
perfect for the short runways on the Lake Erie islands.
