I have not seen Jeff's suggestion yet, but it seems to me that an issue of the
Dispatch is exactly "preaching to the choir".

Three possibilities that come to mind are some sort of collaboration with S
Gaugian (since they do sell through hobby shops), working with Carstens to do a
S/Sn3 Annual like there current HOn3 and On30 Annual magazines, or working with
Kalmbach to provide a minimum of one article/year for Great Model Railroads for
an extended time. The last would generate the most bang for the buck since
people in other scales would see the articles, but might be hardest to arrange.
Consider that just one article per year in GMR would provide an on-going
reminder that we are here, vs. any "one shot" promotion. A Dispatch issue of
this nature, while a nice idea for us, would still only reach NASG members.
Even something produced with S Gaugian or RMC that was a pure S publication,
while providing somewhat more visibility to the scale by being in the hobby
shop magazine rack, isn't likely to be purchased by anyone not already
interested in S.
