I find I rarely bother looking at the present day railroad trains any more.
Usualy 100 cars that all look alike.-----
Once in a while I look at a CSX mixed train. of box, tank etc. cars.
This is after riding 207 non tourist railroads over the years.

Riding in the cab all day in an oil fired Santa Fe 2-8-0, In an EBT caboose,
In a C&O or a NYC loco cab.

Y'know, the modern guys have been asking for new products for a long time
now. And some new modern stuff has come out. Actually a fair amount -- by
S scale standards. But still more is the desire. So what to do..??
The unfortunate part is that the modern guys have not yet "banded together"
to collectively agree for themselves which exact model should be produced.
Nor have they collected reservations or deposits. And, I suspect, they have
not (as a group) approached an existing manufacturer about making stuff for
them. Such minor details as price and minimum order quantity would have to
be negotiated. If these tasks were done, they would have all the modern
products they want.
Posting messages on Yahoo Groups is fun and we all enjoy it. But the end
results speak for themselves.
Hoping for improvement...Ed L.
