I like the 802's but really don't like the slack action especially with a long train. I started eliminating the centering spring and instead filling the space where the spring goes with a small "snubber" cut from a piece of soft white rubber eraser. It keeps the coupler centered and provides some shock absorption but eliminates the slack. Give it a try.
