I suspect folks are just being polite.  It's not that you are wrong, but maybe 
how it is expressed that others are wrong for not sharing your attitudes.  Some 
of may have had a little broader exposure or perhaps different experiences than 
you.  I know a few of us on this list have our feet in the O Scale world.  If 
you step over to the O Scale P:48 list, you will find many, many who laud some 
of the Lionel offerings.  I think a couple here may even offer up a body part 
or two to have a Lionel S Scale version of their O Scale PS-1 boxcar or PS-5 
gondola and various other cars. 

There is no right or wrong here.  You go have fun with your HO trains and the 
rest of us with do the same with our stuff.
