Well, first it's a no-brainer to offer an F7.  MTH just bought it from SHS.  An 
F-Unit is probably a more attractive locomotive than an SW to the 1st time 
trainset buying crowd.

And as far as both MTH and Lionel are concerned, I don't think they're getting 
into S just to trickle out the occasional product to a fairly stagnant market.  
Both companies obviously see a potential for growth,(and their bottom lines) 
otherwise they wouldn't be investing so heavily in it.

We keep harping on how hard it is to get folks interested in S.  Lack of 
advertising, lack of shelf space in the LHS, lack of product, lack of a major 
name company...  

And yet we seem to pat ourselves on the back because we're such an "exclusive" 
club, that no commoner would dare get into S and upset our apple carts.  (After 
all, are we not in "the perfect scale" while the rabble plays with Ordinary and 
How Ordinary???)

Well, S is about to become better known.  Get used to it.
