Dave.....You should call up AM and ask them about their passenger dummy plastic 
coupler.  It has a long shank and looks reasonable.  But it will not cooperate 
with Kadee couplers.  Huff 'n Puff makes a dummy metal coupler with a long 
shank that doesn't even couple to itself.  Needs a bit of filing to facilitate 
a very tight fit.  If a drawbar is desired, the H&P couplers would be good 
candidates for making one.  These long-shanked couplers are good for helping a 
set of permanently-coupled large modern diesels get around sharp curves without 
having the corners of their pilots touch each other.  Ed L.
