    There is an open box cast into one end of the truck frame on that crossbar. 
 Is it intended for a long coupler with drawbar that can be installed so it 
pivots side to side from that box.  Is there a coupler made for this.  If so, 
then it means the truck can accommodate an adjacent car whether it has 
truck-mounted couplers or body-mounted ones?  Frankly, I'd like to see a 
body-mounted coupler with a shank about an inch long; it would probably need a 
carry iron up behind the head.  DJE
