Well actually they did the Canadian Grain Hopper..the Lionel cars are the early 
ACF hoppers....that are painted in several cases for Canadian Grain hoppers.

    Alan, The covered hopper you are referring to was not exactly a 
"cylindrical" hopper. It is an ACF "Center Flow" car, who's prototype came in 
2, 3 and 4 bay versions. The Lionel offering is much more rounded, but not 
completely "round", but is an accurate (by all prior indications)cylindrical 
hopper.
