No, they design each individual coupler to use whatever screw they think will
work best, N scale couplers use even smaller screws. The thinking was probably
that a larger screw for the 802's would required a larger center post which
would require a wider draft gear box? Since they include screws with the
couplers I am quite satisfied with their decision....DaveBranum
