Hi Matt and Will --

Matt has mentioned my favorite way of doing this, but it needs more detail.
First, there are several sizes of silicone fuel tubing. These have a LOT of
stretch, and you want to get the smallest that you can that you can still get
onto the shafts. Second, you can not use the stuff unsupported between the
motor and the trucks, you must have an intermediate shaft that pretty much
fills the space between the two with about 1/32” to 1/16” at each end open for
flexibility. If the space to bridge is 1/2” or less, then you can use a
single piece of tubing with a short piece of shaft stuck in the center.
You will have to work the tubing on the shafts so that the shafts all line up
with each other or you will get a terrible vibration (not difficult). Once
dialed in, the stuff is silent and smooth, and generally lasts forever.

Have fun!

Will,
Why not just experiment with the AM pen springs and the ball/socket connectors
(NWSL) and see which provides the best performance? Another option: Du-Bro
Super Blue Silicone Fuel Tubing (#221).

Let the group know your results.

Thanks,
Matt Hogan
