Back in the modeling world where I was on one of the two shoots I did on
Jess Bennett's layout; we put his custom built FEF with some Overland
SD-40's I think--check out the article in either 3/16's or MR.
Jess had a 40 something car train of American Models boxcars. He
brought those down we put the power on and then he backed the train over
a large S shaped trestle. I had trouble believing that this was
actually happening without any buckling, string-lining or derailments of
any kind. I was imagining all those cars tumbling off that trestle--a
great tribute to a fine modeler!
