 You somehow see `designs.IncidenceSystem` as (your favourite?) mistake you
 have made yourself, yet you are not fixing it, and unwilling to let the
 others repeat it. This is some kind of dictatorial powers you are enjoying
 here. You are free to guess my feelings about it.
