I updated my spkg_install as you requested. The other thing about using
sage_fortran,
that I had forgotten to change back when I removed it, is that it includes
"-fPIC".
I didn't check the fortran spkg but hopefully the work done by Dave to set
the correct
pic flag is picked up in sage_fortran.
If we don't adopt this, FFLAG="-fPIC" (or whatever mechanism Dave came up
with) should be added in my previous version.
