Comment(by drkirkby):

 OK, things are a lot better now on !OpenSolaris, though seem to be a
 problem for John on OS X!!

 Using:

  * The updated Numpy on this ticket
  * The updated Scipy which John made to export FC, F77, F90 and F95
  * An upated scipy_sandbox on #10092 which I made to export FC, F77, F90
 and F95

 then the three additional test failures caused by the Numpy/Scipy changes
 have all been resolved. This is on a Sun Ultra 27 running !OpenSolaris
 06/2009.

 I suspect these will work on the Solaris x86 and Solaris SPARC machines,
 but since:

  * Skynet is down for maintenance.
  * t2 is down and will remain so until William is less rude towards me.
  * Everything except my slowest SPARC is powered off.

 I'm not able to check this on Solaris 10, either SPARC or x86.

 I will run a 'ptestlong' which will take half an hour.

 We will have to look at the OS X issues now!

 Will this ticket ever get closed?

 Dave
