What you tried didn't work because you changed the extension on both files
created by sage. Adding the lines below after line 1115 to versin 4.6.2
... plot3d/base.pyx makes Jmol work again from the command line on both
Linux and MacOS:
if not EMBEDDED_MODE:
ext = "spt"#.spt is script extension
Sorry I haven't quite got the hang of using Mercurial yet.
