It's not just the financial side of things, I guess more important is the time and effort that goes into it everything too - not just with the Mayhem itself of course but everything else I've got on the go Sam wise. Going back to Stuart's post about how can I deny emulation of my stuff ... well, the real way is having been asked, i've said no, and it's been good to see that generally people have accepted that. But there are always people who aren't as accepting. For many years I had a fairly hard view against Sam emulation mainly for that fact that I would regularly get emails (not from the emulator developers I should add) saying how I must allow the soundcard to the be emulated and that's what made me turn my back to it all. Sort of along the lines of the people who I had take the time to write to me telling me how I must sell them the soundcard cheaper, with no understanding or appreciation just what went into developing and supporting it. I am glad to say that over the last few years I have been using SimCoupe a heck of a lot, as it does make a nice programming environment while i'm using other apps such as Paint Shop Pro on the PC, and i've still to try out Andrew's compiler on the PC sometime as well after hearing great things about it from Simon.
