happy dog's!
i've been running liquidsoap for a while already and found a bit more about
it:
memory usage grows with time even with 'simple' radio config, but it's not
extreme. after weeks of running it's at 170MB instead of startup's 40.
more 'complicated' radio with few harbors, buffers and stuff has been able
to eat as much as 16GB of RAM and still go up.
maybe things like strip_blank(max_blank=40.,...) and input.harbor(id="blah",
buffer=30.,max=80.,...) have something to do with it.
i also observed at least one positive thing:
earlier streaming flac to liquidsoap was a game of odds: sometimes stream
starts, sometimes it connects and just shows 0kbit/s (at the streaming
software) and i must re-launch streamer and try connecting again to make it
work.
now with these new liquidsoap builds it's not bothering me anymore. always
works.
yet have to try long (7 hours plus) mp3s and wavs - pre-1.3.3 windows builds
used to skip them after playing for a few minutes.
