Payout time! Janji ditepatiYesterday, Aliran members received tip-offs from the public about a payout to voters:… it is payout time for voters in the Parliamentary constituency of Balik Pulau and the three state seats under it. Voters there are given RM200 each by don’t know who. You may file a report on this menace as the exercise to pay voters is ongoing. I saw it yesterday, where long queues formed outside a shophouse in Sungai Dua, Penang. Opposite TESCO extra, behind Magnum 4D. This outlet which (allegedly) collects illegal 4d bets and also (acts) as an illegal gambling centre is paying out, and the exercise is continuing today, I was told. Another member of the public sent us a tip-off with this message: Attached promissory note given by agents of BN Bayan Lepas. In the event of BN victory in Bayan Lepas, RM160 will be paid to the holder (see voucher above). This receipt shows “S38″, which presumably relates to the N38 Bayan Lepas state seat. As it turned out, N38 was won by Noordin Ahmad of the BN, who increased his majority from 399 votes in 2008 to 458 this time. An Aliran special investigation team decided to check this out. We found the shophouse at about 11.15am today with a long line of people waiting in the corridor. At the ground floor was a little outlet with a Celcom sign with a cloth banner hanging outside saying: “Give me 5”. The primary focus appeared to be the Balik Pulau parliamentary seat, which was won by Hilmi Yahaya. He polled 22318 votes, defeating the PKR candidate, Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik, by a 1539-vote majority. This was a ‘winnable’ seat for the BN as in the 2008 general election, Yusmadi Yusoff of PKR had clinched the seat, squeezing through with a 708-vote majority. (Yusmadi was not selected this time around to defend the seat for PKR.) We managed to get hold of two receipts from people who had been standing in line. Both returned disappointed when they found out they were not eligible to claim their money as the BN candidates had failed to win in their respective areas. No such luck, the BN guy didn’t win here.A mother and her daughter showed us the voucher inscribed with S35. S35 presumably relates to N35 Batu Uban, won by PKR’s Dr T Jayabalan. The two women were crest-fallen: “We were unable to claim the money as the BN candidate didn’t win.” Too bad, the BN man didn’t win.Similarly the holder of S32 was unable to claim his “winnings”. S32 presumably relates to N32 Seri Delima, a seat won by Sanisvara Nethaji Rayer a/l Rajaji of the DAP. No win for the BN in that seat. Apparently, the payouts today were being made from 11.00am to 7.00pm, and this was the third day of payments. Look at this long line of people today:Incredibly, the organisers were daring, conducting this payout just nine doors away from a police station in the next block. Unfortunately, the police were out on patrol. Payouts were also made yesterday until evening. Those who came late were told to come again today as payments for the day had already been made.Over in Pulau Betong, also under the Balik Pulau parliamentary seat, something similar was happening, according to new Bayan Baru MP Sim Sze Tzin of PKR. At a shack in a kampung next to a seafood eatery, some 200 people were queuing up in four lines of 50 people to collect amounts ranging from RM160 to RM200, similar to what was being paid out in the shoplot we checked. The vouchers indicated these were for S38 (presumably N38 Bayan Lepas) and mostly for S39 (presumably N39 Pulau Betong), said Sim.N38 Bayan Lepas was won by Noordin Ahmad with an increased majority of 458 votes (previously 399). Farid Saad won the N39 Pulau Betong seat with a majority of 395 votes, up from 294 in 2008.Sim said that when he and and former Penang Speaker Abdul Halim Hussain turned up at Pulau Betong, the organisers of the payout, believed to be gangsters, fled from the scene. Abdul Halim lost in the N40 Teluk Bahang state seat by 801 votes. N40 is the third seat in P53 Balik Pulau, along with N38 Bayan Lepas and N39 Pulau Betong. Bakhtiar, who lost in Balik Pulau, made a report at the Pulau Betong Police Station, and it was accepted, Sim added. But he was also told that the authority with the proper jurisdiction in this matter is the MACC. So if this sort of thing can happen in broad daylight in a developed state like Penang, ju

Date: Fri, 10 May 2013 18:20:29 +0800 MB today, PM tomorrow Mariam Mokhtar | May 10, 2013 Do you honestly think Umno Baru and the Election Commission (EC) will reform and accommodate the rakyat’s wishes? COMMENT GE13 is not about the rakyat and good governance, but is about maintaining the status quo and one man – Dr Mahathir Mohamad. The rakyat was only a means to his end. Now that GE13 is over, Mahathir and Najib Tun Razak, the prime minister designate of Malaysia’s illegitimate government, can continue the most important political battle of their lives; Najib must satisfy his addiction to power and money, whilst Mahathir needs to establish his political dynasty. Their common enemy is Pakatan and they were willing to stop Pakatan’s progress by any means, including cheating, bribery and intimidation. Umno Baru kept the rakyat on tenterhooks, waiting for GE13, then robbed them of their right to make their vote count. Umno Baru robbed us of our destiny and our children’s future. How can Malaysians trust Umno Baru? Najib made several promises to the Chinese community before GE13 and entertained them with Psy and the Bond girl. A few days ago, he insulted the Chinese community and questioned their gratitude. If the economically sound Chinese are treated with disdain, good luck to the likes of P Waythamoorthy and his rag-tag band of Indian followers whose MoU is not worth the paper it is written on. Is there any point in mounting a legal challenge against the alleged fraud in GE13? Our judiciary was corrupted by Mahathir. Perakians are still fuming over Najib’s coup d’état. They would probably trust a shaman more than they trust the Malaysian courts. Does the wife who has been betrayed by her philandering husband believe his promise that he will not see other women? Will the person who readily accepts a RM50 bribe refuse to receive larger sums? Did the cheat who copied other people’s work and then falsified his degree, ever do an honest day’s study? Do you honestly think Umno Baru and the Election Commission (EC) will reform and accommodate the rakyat’s wishes? Mahathir criticised the Pakatan rally in Kelana Jaya and said that the opposition could not accept defeat. Malaysians abhor corruption and violence but Mahathir has difficulty acknowledging this. The task of this EC is not to facilitate free and fair elections in Malaysia. Its main objective is to secure a win for Umno Baru at any cost. The election is also a time for Umno Baru cronies to make money, either by supplying ink or advertising. How many millions of ringgits of the taxpayers’ money was spent on the useless indelible ink? How many millions of ringgits did Najib spend on advertising? Was the public purse used to fund Umno Baru adverts? Without a doubt! Before GE13, the EC refused to investigate allegations of phantom voters and other voting irregularities. The National Registration Department (NRD) and most other government agencies also appeared to act for Umno Baru. Azmin is wrong Project IC is the brainchild of Mahathir and this election has seen a Bangladesh, Indonesian, Filipino, Pakistani and Burmese tsunami. When Pakatan gets to Putrajaya, the heads of the EC and the NRD should be arrested and charged for being accomplices for Mahathir’s acts of treason. We must act now, whilst the momentum is strong, to demand a re-election. If we do not, Najib, Mahathir and Umno Baru will feel emboldened. If we wait for GE14, Umno Baru will have raised the art of vote-rigging to such a high level, that countries like Zimbabwe will want to learn from us. Pakatan’s Azmin Ali has distanced himself from the Kelana Jaya rally and he tweeted: “The rakyat are tired with politics that are over the top. Accept results. Scrutinise yourself. Admit weaknesses. Move forward. Focus on the rakyat, not yourselves.” Azmin is wrong. Accepting flawed results will set a bad precedence. What sort of example are we teaching our child

Pity our PM. been surrounded by such high caliber MP.Zahid "It is better to keep your mouth shut than open it and remove all doubt" This arrogant & rude Javanese (who thinks he can say and do anything he wants just because he is a minister) should return to Yogjarkarta to claim his Kraton Palace instead to telling Malaysian to leave. Thursday, May 16, 2013 Hantu Laut Before he even started, they already gave him headache. Wow! What a way towards mending and winning the people's hearts and minds. Reconciliation, the Prime Minister talking about repairing the severe lost of confidence of his government by urban voters and the Chinese community, seemingly, a voice in the wilderness, his ministers have their own ideas how to please the people, or rather how to undermine him. If you think the low magnitude Hishamuddin Onn was bad enough and everyone rejoiced of his exit from the Home Ministry, we may now conclude that the Ministry is jinxed, to be driven by another insensitive, impervious, smarmy and blundering nut head. In less than two days of taking office this nutty as a fruitcake minister tell Malaysians to leave the country if they don't like the system. He has another 1,822 days to go. Let's hope he gets off his high horse. Zahid Hamidi, the new Home Minister had a glorious day insulting his countrymen to leave the country if they don't like the parliamentary system here. Who is Zaid Hamidi anyway to insult Malaysians who did not vote BN ? It was their democratic right to vote any party whom they think it fit to lead the country and for this they thought Pakatan is the better choice. As citizens of this country we have constitutional rights to question the system, but at the end of the day the majority shall prevail. Ministers do not have God's given right to tell us to leave the country if we disagree with him. "It is better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are a fool than open it and remove all doubt" ...Mark Twain. Haa! Mark Twain, had two of his books as literature in schools, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. Always ponder before you open your big mouth. No thanks to Najib for choosing this noisome and bumptious minister And why don’t Ahmad Hamidi go back to Jogkarta? I have emigrated. I have done so because of chauvinistic pigs like Ahmad Hamidi who think they have a better claim on the land where four generations of my family grew up in than relative newcomers like him. If you look at the Wikipedia entry into Zaid Hamidi, it says that he is of Javanese origin, with with roots in Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta. Here you see a photo of Ahmad Zaid Hamidi in Javanese gear being at home in Jogjakarta. So you have to wonder at the duplicity that Malaysians have to put up with if they stay in Malaysia. You have this Javanese posing as a Melayu (which is an ethnic group in Riau and Kalimantan, but become elevated to a race in the Malaysian Constitution). The Prime Minister Najib Razak and his father a former Prime Minister are of Bugis origin (see here). And of course, as we all know, Mahathir is a mixed-blood with Indian being a prominent part of the mix. (The Tunku – Abdul Rahman – was also of mixed blood with Thai coursing through his veins but he’s the only decent chap in the Umno elite) So you have all these guys with foreign blood running Umno and through Umno, Malaysia for the past five decades. It is rotten to the core and they would have been drummed out of office, if not for widespread fraud. Malaysians have every right to question fraudulent actions in the electoral process.

Subra volunteer himself to support Vasantha Kumar (PKR) in this GE13. I was at Tapah helping out PKR for the candidate Vasanta Kumar (detained 18 months under ISA in Nov 2007 for being part of Hindraf) throughout the day on 5th May. After 5pm once the gate was closed we pack up and went for a meal then to the Merdeka hall where the final countdown was. Around 830pm, Vasanta Kumar came out to the crowd and told that officially PKR won (based on form 14) but SPR don't want to release the news. Suddenly SPR said that few more boxes has not reached at 10pm 10pm... Big tussle happened in the Merdeka Hall and Vasanta Kumar was thrown out of the hall by police and FRU. All the "paca" was also pushed out and beaten (including women) and together with Vasanta were also thrown out. This reminds me of how the Perak speaker was thrown out during the Perak State robbery. Finally we waited and waited.. and as we expected BN was declared as winner at 01:30am..

Kerajaan pusat terlebih dahulu tunjukkan gentlemen dgn memberi hak kpd kerajaan negeri , kemudia nilai melalui KPI . Mereka sering berbalah sesama sendiri mengenai pelbagai perkara. Should our future generations suffer the consequences of our permissiveness?" - Forwarded Message - Sent: Tuesday, 30 April 2013 8:39 PM Subject: FW: MESSAGE FROM YB LIM KIT SIANG By Lim Kit Siang I call the Election Commission to convene an all-party roundtable conference for all political parties to forswear the politics of fear and blackmail in the 13th General Elections and to accept any peaceful and democratic change of government, whether at the Federal or state level, if this is the verdict of the electorate. This is most urgent and imperative for two reasons: firstly, the increasing incidents of the politics of fear, blackmail, gangsterism and violence in the run-up to the 13GE; secondly, the possibility that the 13GE will herald the first change of federal government in 56 years through the ballot box, namely the formation of a Pakatan Rakyat Federal Government in Putrajaya following the ousting of the Barisan Nasional Federal Government through the democratic process. I have received information that the Bukit Aman and Defence Ministry intelligence do not rule out the defeat of Barisan Nasional in the 13GE. According to one Bukit Aman intelligence estimate, which I cannot verify whether it is from the police or not, the possible outcome of the 13GE for parliamentary elections is as follows: State PR BN Perlis 1 2 Kedah 13 2 Kelantan 13 1 Terengganu 4 4 Penang 12 1 Perak 18 6 Pahang 5 9 Selangor 20 2 Wilayah Per. 10 1 Putrajaya 0 1 Negri Sembilan 6 2 Melaka 2 4 Johor 12 14 Labuan 1 0 Sabah 12 13 Sarawak 16 15 Total 145 77 According to this estimate, PR will win 145 parliamentary seats compared to 77 for Barisan Nasional – or a majority of 68 seats. This is well beyond my “dream” results for the Pakatan Rakyat in the 13GE – which is PR winning 125 parliamentary seats or a majority of 28, distributed evenly among PKR with 45 seats and DAP and PAS each winning 40 seats. With the possibility for the first time in more than five decades of Malaysian history of a democratic transition of power through the ballot box, the onus is both on the Election Commission and the police to ensure that a democratic transition of power will be a peaceful and orderly one. I welcome the reminder by the former Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Musa Hassan urging politicians to stop “putting fear in people” by making statements about possible racial tension or riots should there be a change in government in the general election. Musa took issue at a forum on smooth and peaceful transition of power in Kuala Lumpur with recent statements by both Umno Wanita chief Shahrizat Jalil and former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Shahrizat had warned of a repeat of the May 13, 1969 racial riots during her policy speech at the Umno general assembly November last year, while Mahathir recently wrote on his blog that I would attempt to drive a wedge between the Chinese and the Malays in my campaign for Gelang Patah. “As leaders, they should advise the people to be calm in selecting a government of their choice,” said Musa, who has been vocal in his opinions since his retirement. Musa said: “For me, (the statements) are almost like sedition (menghasut).” Here is a case where a former Inspector-General of Police is of the view that a former Prime Minister had been guilty of sedition. But would the Attorney-General Tan Sri Gani Patail act independently and professionally to arrest and charge the former Prime Minister, Tun Mahathir, for the offence of sedition in raising the spectre of racial conflict to scare the voters from freely exercising their constitutional right to vote. I fully endorse Musa’s criticism of the police authorities for failing to act independently and professionally where the culprits come from UMNO and Barisan Nasional. Musa argued that the enforcement system would need an overhaul should there be a

In the “For Their Eyes Only” report released on May 1, the University of Toronto’s Citizen Lab said the word document installs FinSpy spyware that masquerades as Mozilla’s Firefox browser on the computers of those who open the file. “While we cannot make definitive statements about the actors behind the booby-trapped candidate list, the contents of the document suggest that the campaign targets Malay speakers who are interested in Malaysia’s hotly contested 5 May 2013 General Elections,” the report said. “This strongly suggests that the targets are Malaysians either within Malaysia or abroad,” it added. The report comes at a time when election watchdogs and opposition parties claim there has been a mass movement of dubious voters and indelible ink that can be washed off in the May 5 polls. The authorities and the caretaker Barisan Nasional (BN) government have denied all claims. There have also been reports of distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks on several news portals including /The Malaysian Insider/ while access restrictions have been reported by several websites but denied by the authorities just days before the tightest electoral race in Malaysian history. The spyware masquerades as Mozilla’s Firefox browser, say the researchers. — Reuters pic“We trust that both domestic and international elections monitoring officials and watchdog groups will investigate to determine whether the integrity of the campaign and electoral process may have been compromised,” said the researchers. They said the booby-trapped Bahasa document was found after the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) accused /The Malaysian Insider/ of “false reporting” a New York Times article on its earlier research about the spyware. “After the Malaysian Government’s accusation, we discovered a booby-trapped document that contained a candidate list for the 5 May 2013 Malaysian General Elections,” the report said, adding it was titled “SENARAI CADANGAN CALON PRU KE-13 MENGIKUT NEGERI.” “When a victim opens this document and sees the list of candidates, their computer is infected with FinSpy,” it added. Computer experts say when recipients download the infected file, the data on the computer became accessible to an external user as well as the ability to watch and listen to the computer’s user through the machine’s camera and microphone. Citizen Lab found that FinSpy “is being used in a number of countries with poor human rights records and has been used to target activists.” FinSpy is owned by the UK’s Gamma Group, and media reports say the firm has received a letter from Mozilla asking the company to stop disguising its product as Firefox. Citizen Lab reports that FinSpy doesn’t just make itself look like Firefox; it actually “makes use of Mozilla’s trademark and code.” The report, which documents the spread of offensive computer network intrusion capabilities, hacking tools marketed by Western companies, also said that this behaviour has been documented previously in files targeting Bahraini activists. The country’s 13th general election has become a hotly-contested affair with all 222 federal and 505 state seats up for grabs for the first time in history. Several international agencies and regional media are closely watching the May 5 polls ahead of other elections in the region.

I 'll try my best to list them down here.WHAT TO DO & WATCH OUT FOR1. Be at the polling center real early, as I m suspecting that there may be a long queue due to the new polling process. Many will be sick of waiting and waste their vote. Don't be a fool to do that. Polling center opens at 8am till 5pm. If queue is long, hang in there, do not leave even after 5pm once you entered. Polling center gate closes at 5:00pm sharp RTM time. Polling continues till all in queue is done, regardless of time.2. Check on-line first (http://daftarj.spr.gov.my/semakpru13.aspx) and print out your details before going to the voting center. You may be able to by-pass the Barung counter since you have a printout and know where to go and thus short cut your time.3. Bring your IC, if you lost your IC, then use the temp IC. If you also lost your temp IC, then you can use your passport. Avoid using passport as we the counting agents will insist you fill up a Borang 11 which will take time, and affects the queue. This time EC allows even Gov't employee tag... hmmm... polling agent will seek verification if sees anyone using that.4. Make sure your left hand index finger is clean, any makings or stains will caused you to be disallowed to vote. If you got band aid plaster on that finger, they will require you to use the right hand index instead. The default is left hand index finger. No stains allow on either fingers. The polling kerani will mark your left index finger with an ink.5. Important! The ink will take about 30 second to dry. Bring along a tissue to dry off your finger before holding your ballot papers. Any smudge or stain on the ballot paper will render it spoiled vote. So be extremely careful. Now you understand why you need to be there early.6. Your ballot paper will have a serial number, but must be clean of any extra marking or words or stains, smudge, pencil/pen marking or dots or TEAR on all the surface of the ballot papers. YOU CAN REJECT THE PIECE OF BALLOT PAPER AND INSIST ON A NEW ONE IF YOU SEE ANY OF THOSE. Do not be intimidated by anyone there as this is your ABSOLUTE RIGHT.7. Ensure that the kerani that handed you the ballot paper, do not write the serial No. of your ballot papers next to your name on the list. He or she is suppose to just neatly cross out your name on the list. If you see that she wrote something, please raise hell. Make sure she crosses out your name on her list and we will do the same on ours.8. If in some strange (may happen) event you were told that you have already voted, eventho you have not, and your fingers have no markings, you MUST raise hell. We the polling agents will raise hell too. It means that somebody has voted on your behalf. You will be required to fill forms and etc. Remember, your constitutional right to vote.9. Do not wear any t-shirt or buttons or hat that is aligned to any of the political parties. You will be ask to remove or disallowed to enter the polling center.10. When casting your vote, be careful not to make any other marks on the ballot paper. You will be using a pen instead of the usual pencil. So if you make a mistake and it is accidental, please request for a new ballot paper. They have 10% extra papers to cater for this sort of things.11. Fold the ballot paper neatly in half checking to see that all is in order before proceeding to the ballot boxes. Here, we will have 2 ballot boxes for Parliament and State.12. At the ballot boxes, SHOW and put the ballot paper into their corresponding box. Stand there to ensure that the kerani push your vote into the box. Please do not have any tissue or other paper in your hands as you may be stopped for search by the Polling agent. We are trained to look out for people who brings out their blank voting papers to sell. Don't do that, you 'll go to jail.13. This time, we have 4 candidates for Parliament and 3 candidates for State. Please vote wisely and your vote is your right and it is nobody's bizzness on who you vote for it is PnC.14. I am not aware of any special lane for the disabled or elderly.15. Please send the words out to all your foreign friend

Dr Azmi, Professor of Law, Video - Never trust a Mamak - they are M'sia's worst!Hi M'sians & ex M'sians, far and near I trust many of U might have already read or listened to Dr Azmi's speech, if so, kindly ignore it. If not, please click the links below and take a few minutes of your time and run through it, and then share it. Indeed very interesting and refreshing! Thanks for this so interesting speech given by Dr. Azmi Sharom, an Assistant Professor of Law at UM. He explains the constitution: the Malaysian supreme law. Please LISTEN, it is very interesting and refreshing! He is such a witty guy too.Click and view Dr. Azmi Sharom (the same guy who writes a column every Thursday in The Star) in action during a visit to Malacca where he gave a very interesting talk about the Federal Constitution!Never allow that Mamak to subvert the meaning of our Federal Constitution and never allow any one to bully you into believing and accepting that Malaysia is an Islamic country - IT IS NOT!!! Only that Mamak says so and he's lying through his big bloody nose! Listen to Azmi Sharom (he is after all, a professor of law!) and read the Federal Constitution to learn and know that Malaysia is indeed a secular country, by definition and by the interpretation of the Federal Constitution! Malaysia has never been an Islamic State as our Constitution is very specific on it. It was the mamak who lied all the way when he declared Malaysia as an Islamic Country and therefore State in 2001. Lim Kit Siang immediately corrected him but he being the person he is insisted that he was right. Jokers like Ling Liong Sik, Samy Vellu and Lim Keng Yaik of course did not object and quietly agreed with him and so did the other BN leaders. This mamak has damaged our country through and through. He also passed the Syariah Law in Selangor in 1995 with the help of MCA, MIC, and Gerakan.Ask MCA, MIC and Gerakan why they support an Islamic State and passed laws to support it, and now complain that DAP is supporting an Islamic State, when DAP has never ever agreed to do so. The evidence is beyond doubt, it is in the public domain, ask them, the shameless ones, do they have an answer? === Worth listening to this recording. Our constitution is the most altered, amended, and modified constitution in the whole wide world. We must never ever let UMNO get back their 2/3rds majority ever again. If they do, then our country will go to the dogs. UMNO will again start changing the constitution like there is no tomorrow. It will be changed to suit UMNO, just like they changed the constitution/rules/laws to allow for gerrymandering of the consituency, where a rural constituency with an electorate of 5,000 voters is entitled to vote for one MP/DUN, whereas in urban localities, an electorate of 100,000 can only vote for one MP. What sort of democracy do you call this? Can someone out there enlighten me. Whether you're pro-BN or pro-opposition, please, do not, in your wildest dreams ever allow UMNO their 2/3rds majority. Don't ever let Malaysia go the way of Zimbabwe, Somali, or Myanmar. For people who think that only BN can govern properly. Think again. Once BN gets back their 2/3 in Parliament they will start amending the Constitution. Then we won't have the Constitution that protects ALL. Educate yourself about what the supreme law of the land says. Then vote wisely. Please spread this like wildfire...make it one of the most viewed. Friends, This video is mainly in Tamil but there are two segments where two racists speak in Bahasa. You should listen to that. You should also ask your Indian friends to translate what is spoken in Tamil. We were worried whether the Indians will go for change. Every Indian who speaks in this video is asking for change. They ask why is it for 55 years they did not receive anything from the government but suddenly money and rice is being given. They see through the BN for what they are. Please circulate this widely. [Harakah] Fw: Fwd: What voting for BN means
- Forwarded Message - From: leo nathan To: Sent: Monday, April 29, 2013 10:43 PM Subject: Fw: Fwd: What voting for BN means Date: Sun, Apr 28, 2013 Subject: What voting for BN means To: If you vote for BN - you support : April 28, 2013 I have been sickened by the anti-Pakatan Rakyat advertisements in the BN controlled mainstream print media. BN tactics are downright dirty. For a change, let me tell the rakyat what voting for BN portrays. A vote for BN is a vote to: 1 Maintain a throughly corrupt regime to plunder the country’s wealth. 2 Allow Umno to continue to exploit and manipulate mercilessly the poor Malays using religion and political propaganda. 3 Encourage government that lies, cheats and deceives. 4 Promote Ketuanan Melayu, Malay hegemony and Malay superiority. 5 Allow Islamo-fascists to determine the fate of the country. 6 Allow BN to further destroy the Constitution which has been shredded by more than 60 amendments. 7 Allow Umno-dominated BN to continue their discriminatory policies. 8 Allow BN to continue the disastrous predator capitalism and kleptocracy. 9 Allow through the BN-owned print media and the government-controlled RTM to constantly demonise the Chinese, Indians and Christians. 10 Allow BN to continue with nepotism and cronyism, which have sucked the country dry financially. 11 Allow BN to continue its gutter politics and dirty tricks. 12 Allow BN to benefit from a unfair and unfree electoral system. 13 Allow BN to continue to frighten the rakyat about another May 13 should BN lose. 14 Allow BN to continue to use thugs, gangsters, Mat Rempit to intimidate the rakyat. 15 Allow pro-Barisan-inclined AG, Chairman of EC and ROS to continue their boot-licking policies. 16 Allow BN to rule by law and not through rule of law. 17 Allow BN to destroy a participatory democracy by disallowing local council elections. 18 Allow BN to destroy national unity through very destructive ethnic politics and divide-and-rule policies. 19 Allow Umnoputras and their cronies to continue to abuse the NEP to enrich themselves and amass great wealth and launder it overseas. 20 Allow flight of talent which has impoverished our talent pool. 21 Allow BN to destroy the once independent institutions – the civil service, the Police, the EC, the ROS and the Judiciary – and turn them into its tools. 22 Allow Umno to continue to play havoc with the Malay mind through Umno-brand Islamic religious propaganda and political indoctrination and brainwashing. 23 Allow hundreds of scandals similar to the Sharizat-NFC scandals to continue as they have done for the last 50 years or so. 24 Allow Umno hypocrisy regarding the use of English to go on. They have blocked the teaching of Maths and Science in English. Many of the children of ministers and Umnoputras are studying overseas! 25 Bless racists like Ibrahim Ali and Zulkifli Noordin, who shouldn’t be in Parliament. 26 Allow Malaysia to become a police state. 27 Allow the religious establishment unbridled power to spy on citizens, check on our private lives and violate our basic freedoms. 28 Destroy People Power (Makkal Sakti). 29 Allow BN to continue to destroy our education system. 30 Allow the known ‘devil’ to destroy our beloved country further.

[Harakah] Fw: [Indian-Malaysian] 900 voters named 'Fatimah Ismail' found
900 voters named 'Fatimah Ismail' found Koh Jun Lin1:37PM Apr 19, 2013 The states of Kedah, Kelantan, Pahang and Terengganu have a disproportionately high number of voters sharing the same names, including 900 named ‘Fatimah Ismail’. Of these, there are 14 instances of ‘Fatimah Ismail’ sharing the same birthdays, and 10 of these instances also had their identity cards issued from the same state. “This (pattern) is found in all the top names that we can find. Imagine two gentlemen named ‘Ismail’ having their daughter born on the same day and naming them ‘Fatimah’, and it is within the same village,” said Malaysian Electoral Roll Analysis Project (Merap) research assistant Lee Wee Tak. In comparison, he said other states such and Perak and Negri Sembilan have far fewer instances of voters with the same name. The most popular voter name in Perak is ‘Fatimah Ahmad’ with a mere 55 instances, for example, compared to 412 ‘Fatimah Ismails’ in Kedah. Even when Merap tried to reduce coincidences by searching for at least three matches in both name and date of birth, Lee said he is still left with 263 voters throughout Malaysia who meet the criteria. In most cases, these voters appear to live close to each other, but about two-thirds of them have incomplete addresses. Leading the pack is Kedah with 50 voters, Perak with 41, Kelantan with 21, and Kedah with 26. In one example, he said there are three voters named ‘Ab Rapar Awang’ sharing the same birthday on July 15, 1949. Two of them are registered to vote in the Indera Mahkota parliamentary constituency, while another votes in the neighbouring Paya Besar. Meanwhile, Sabah and Sarawak have the highest number of voters over the age of 100 - 1,062 and 475 persons respectively. Lee said that in addition to the unusually high number of centenarians, these voters also tend to register at a relatively advanced age. On average, Sabah centenarian voters registered at 84 years of age and Sarawak voters at 65. “Of course, people might say that Malaysia has a high standard of living and people start to live longer. We present to you these individuals who are born in 1897 (116 years old) and 1898 (115 years old),” he said referring to a voter in Penang and another in Perak. “It is highly unlikely that they are alive at this time,” he said. For comparison, the Guinness World Record for the oldest person is 122 years and 164 days, held by a now-deceased French woman. http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/227335 Free PRU13 app - GE updates at your fingertips

Throughout the country, voters are already reporting early efforts to woo the electorate such as special grocery vouchers of RM300 in Sandakan and handouts of RM50 to attend a Umno meeting in Tanjong Malim, among many others. The promise of more goodies on the way is being repeated over and over, from the symbolic extension and increase of BR1M (Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia) to more general ‘assistance'. The use of electoral incentives is well-known and honed, but there is a fundamental shift in the overall pattern this time round. Scholars such as Universiti Sains Malaysia emeritus professor Francis Loh have described the electioneering pattern as from one of patronage to ‘developmentalism', where voters have moved from relying on everyday personal ties and relations with politicians to the promise of development projects. In this election, a new pattern of commercialisation has emerged, where the ‘You help me, I help you' and ‘Let's make a deal' mantras are framing the campaign in what is crassly an economic exchange. The base money flows, materialism and expensive brand marketing in GE13 cannot be understated, as they represent the dominant strategic mode of BN's campaign. Najib's RM58bil election primer Incumbent Prime Minister Najib Razak has systematically adopted this strategy since taking office in April 2009. He knew he inherited a difficult terrain, and more importantly, he would need to win seats. In the four years before he dissolved parliament to get his own mandate, he engaged in arguably the most expensive election primer in Southeast Asia, and by far the most expensive in Malaysian history. Gleaned from over 4,000 news reports since April 2009 and a study of the three budgets/supplemental budgets (2010-2013), I conservatively estimate that his administration has spent a total of RM57.7 billion from after he took over as PM to just before the dissolution of parliament on election-related incentives. (The primary sources of these electoral-related pledges are from national news agency Bernama.) The two main components of this largess are politically targeted distributions and 1Malaysia spending. These measures are inherently political as not only are they framed as political tools, they are being openly been touted as a reason to support the BN at the voting booth. As shown in the table, the main share of the election primer is not BR1M in the overall 1Malaysia programmes - this only amounted to RM5.6 billion - but other measures including salary increases and targeted populist initiatives in areas such as school construction from money administered through the PM's Office. Targeted items include money to taxi drivers, repeated allocations for fisher folks, special allocations for the Danga development project in Johor, a rice subsidy for Orang Asli, special settlement for housing in Hulu Selangor, tricycle 50 percent subsidy support for those in agribusiness, subsidised discounts for students on trains, solar energy subsidies and so much more. The estimate excludes money spent on special infrastructure projects, which have the spillover of government contracts. These have increased, especially in the defence sector. Please note that this spending only captures public spending, and ex

Last night I attended a dinner by the DAP, to listen to their speeches as well as raise funds for the forthcoming elections.Every one of the speakers was excellent.Anwar is a consummate speaker. He is very witty as well and knows how to whip up the crowd. So too Lim Guan Eng ( i had a little conversation with him since he was only 10 feet away from my table.)The Hockey Stadium was filled to capacity, and the food, catered by a restaurant in Sekinchan (seafood place) was very good. Seems these restaurants are all behind the Opposition, hence they gave a good makan as well. All manner of things were being sold too, including t-shirts with the words Listen,Listen,Listen, the latest incident against a BN person,Sharifah Zohra Jabeen, who berated Bawani. Lim Guan Eng gave an excellent speech last night too and was applauded every now and then. He was very funny too. He had all the facts at his finger tips and could speak in English,Chinese and Bahasa. Lim Guan Eng's Speech - A Good One Since Merdeka, two million Malaysians have migrated overseas because they do not see a future for themselves and for Malaysia. It is time that we don't live in our past that is filled with hatred and fear. We should look to the future filled with hope and harmony between all Malaysians. To put the past behind us, we must stop the politics of race and religion. To put the past behind us, we must end corruption. To put the past behind us, we must abolish the suppression, oppression, repression of our basic human rights and freedoms. To put the past behind us, we must demand good governance and performance from our ministers. To attain peace Malaysians must stand united and reject those who wish to divide us by preaching racial and religious hatred. If we want to benefit from equal opportunities and realize our human potential we must stop extremists from continually degrading others as inferiors so as to uplift ourselves. Why should Allah not be allowed to be used in the Bible when it is used in the Middle East? We can only achieve harmony together. Despite our differences and diversity, Malaysians can make our common aspirations of freedom, justice, democracy and truth come true if we remember key values. That it is not who we are that is important, but what we are that is important; not the colour of our skin that is important but the content of our character; and not our past ancestry that is important but how we connect with the present and with each other to face the future. We can only be prosperous together. The time has come to focus on the economy, in employment, education and business opportunities as the conditions for prosperity. We must build human talent and be performance-based. For those who say that PR do not know how to govern, the 4 PR states of Penang, Selangor, Kedah and Kelantan have proven our ability by beating the other 10 BN states by attracting RM25 billion in investments comprising 53% of Malaysia's total investments of RM47.2 billion in 2010. For the first time in history, Penang is now the new champion of investments in Malaysia, coming out top in 2010 with RM 12.2 billion. To put the past behind us, we must end corruption. Barisan Nasional cannot reform to end corruption. Remember, if we do not end corruption, Malaysia dies. If we end corruption, BN dies. The choice is clear. To put the past behind us, we must abolish the suppression, oppression, repression of our basic human rights and freedom. How can we have a clean government when we do not have clean elections? We do not want our children to live in fear of oppressive laws as we have lived. A Pakatan Rakyat government will abolish the UUCA, the Sedition Act and the Printing Presses and Publications Act and restore local government elections. When can we find justice for Teoh Beng Hock, Ahmad Sarbani and A Kugan? When will we have Freedom of Information & Freedom of Speech? When can we have justice that is not only done, but is seen to be done. To put the past behind us, we demand good governance and performance from our ministers. Malaysia can be an international and intelligent country. We must have digital intelligence with broadband connectivity. We must also have integrity intelligence, so ensure that only honest people are the decision-makers. We must have institutional intelligence under the rule of law. Writing about the incident on her Twitter account, the Bersih 2.0 co-chairman said during the event at the Church of Visitation, an officer with the EC told her she could be charged under Section 27 of the Election Offences Act 1954. "SPR officer came to me and said no poetical speeches or they would charge me. I said go ahead," she wrote, using the Malay acronym for the EC. Ambiga later corrected her posting to read "political speeches". According to the well-known former Bar Council president the section of the law used by the officer was only applicable to candidates standing for election. "I am not one," Ambiga (picture) pointed out in another posting. Section 27 of the Election Offences Act 1957 stipulates that: "Every person who commits an illegal practice shall, on conviction by a Sessions Court, be liable to a fine of five thousand ringgit and, subject to any specific provision to the contrary in any written law relating to any election, shall by conviction until the expiration of five years from such conviction become incapable of being registered or listed as an elector or of voting at any election under this Act or of being elected at any election, and if at that date he has been elected at any election, his seat shall be vacated from the date of such conviction." Ambiga added that in her response to the "high handed" officer, she suggested that the EC act on vote-buying and other polling discrepancies. Despite the EC "intrusion" and heavy police presence, however, Ambiga said the event, a talk on voters rights, went on smoothly. "Seremban rocks!" she concluded. The EC has repeatedly warned Ambiga and the polls watchdog group Bersih 2.0 not to disrupt the coming election, alleging that the group's campaign to employ citizen observers would only hamper the polling process. A total 13,268,002 Malaysians registered on the roll and are eligible to vote in the 13th general elections, touted to be a tight race between a stronger three-party opposition pact and the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition for federal power. Of that figure, 12,992,661 voters will cast their ballot on May 5 while Malaysians registered to vote by post, including those living and working abroad, will get to cast their ballots earlier on April 28, a Sunday. The EC has listed 2,954 Malaysians abroad as absentee voters. Security personnel and their spouses from the armed forces and police force are also eligible to vote by post. The military voters number 161,251 while policemen make up 111,136 votes. BN chairman Datuk Seri Najib Razak announced the dissolution of Parliament on April 3, four years to the date from when he took office in 2009, replacing Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as prime minister mid-term after the Penang lawmaker led Barisan Nasional (BN) to its worst performance since 1963. The 13-party coalition lost its customary two-thirds majority in Parliament as well as five states in Election 2008. A total of 222 parliamentary and 505 state seats will be contested. Sarawak will sit out this round of elections as the Borneo state went to the polls in 2011.

Reminder on Voting Procedures G.E. Voting Procedure 2013 Good reminders on what to do on that day PLEASE bring along your own pencil ERASER. It is VITAL that we get this information across to as many people as possible. The Voter Agent Training recently conducted at the PJ Civic Centre brought to the fore some very critical issues which every *Voter* ought to know. These are : 1. As soon as you enter the polling station, you will be ushered to *Kerani 1*, who will check your personal identity against your NRIC. He/she will then read out your name, NRIC number and the Siri/Bilangan number in accordance to the List provided by the Election Commission (SPR). 2. Once all that is verified, Kerani 1 will pass your NRIC to the next officer, *Kerani 2*. 3. Here, Kerani 2 will hand you a ‘ *Kertas Undi*,’ which is identified by its Serial Number. As a Voter, please know your rights. You have the constitutional right under our Election Laws to NOT accept the ‘Kertas Undi’ that the officer assignsto you. You CAN and should ask for a different ‘Kertas Undi’ from a different book. To do that, just say to the officer, “Encik (or Cik), saya minta Kertas Undi dari buku lain atau dari bawah.” Translated, that is, “Sir (or Madam), I like to request a different ballot paper from a different book or from below.” *This must be done so that the Voter CANNOT be identified via the SPR’s Master*List. It will take just ONE voter to upset the whole sequence, which will eventually affect the SPR’s Master List for that voting centre. The aim of doing this is to SAFEGUARD every Voter’s identity. No one has the right to know how you want to vote. 4. Once your ‘ *Kertas Undi’* is issued to you, just stand there and do NOT leave immediately. Instead please CHECK BOTH SIDES of the ballot paper in order to ensure that there are NO pencil markings or Any other form of suspicious markingson it.If there are, *REJECT* the ballot paper issued to you and instead request for these markings to be either erased to your satisfaction or for you to be issued with a new ‘Kertas Undi.’ Also do NOT accept any loose-lying ‘Kertas Undi,’ which may have been strewn about because it was rejected by someone else earlier. ALWAYS ask for a fresh ballot paper from the book. An alternative, as suggested by certain other people via email, is to Bring along your own *eraser* so that when you see any pencil marks, you can rub them off completely yourself. 5. *Kerani 2* will then hand the ‘Kertas Undi’ to the next officer, *Kerani 3*. *Kerani 3* carries a seal, which will be used to stamp your ‘Kertas Undi.’ PLEASE watch carefully that the officer stamps your ballot paper FULLY and CLEARLY. After that, see that it is folded into twobefore the ballot paper is handed over to you. 6. You can now proceed to the voting booth. 7. At the booth, please ensure that the ballot paper has only your ONE marking of a single X. If for whatever reason, suspicious or otherwise, you overlooked some pencil marks of numbers or markings on the front or back of the ballot paper (ie other than your own mark), please ERASE those markings completely. REMEMBER, these markings can and will render your ballot spoilt – so be *Extra Cautious*. The most careful approach is to check your ‘Kertas Undi’ thoroughly before you accept it from the officer. REMEMBERto check it in front of the relevant officer so that if you have to reject it, he is right in front of you. 8. Do not be afraid or cower in fear when you have to express your objections because there are representatives from the various participating political parties who will be there to observe the whole voting process and they are there to assist you as and when you need. As mentioned earlier, It is this kind of information that BN/UMNO does not want others to know. They thrive on public ignorance so that they can do whatever they feel like brazenly. One way to stop them is to send this information to as many of your friends as possible so that everyone, on voting day, knows exactly what to do, knows his/her constitutional voting rights and is aware of Print this out and keep it safely. When Voting Day finally arrives, it will be handy for you to access and read again.

Writer: Gho Chee Yuan SERDANG: Foreign-born voters with incomplete addresses here have been found in the electoral roll and the Election Commission (EC) is being urged to explain how this could happen. Serdang member of Parliament Teo Nie Ching said 31 such voters were detected in the 2012 fourth quarter electoral roll. All are from Taman Setia, a neighbourhood dominated by immigrants in Balakong. “We find it suspicious as their addresses do not have house numbers and street names, only their taman,” she said. She was informed by the EC that the voters were registered by the Special Affairs Department (JASA) under the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture. Teo was spurred to check on the electoral roll when a man with a strong Indonesian accent, Hotim Abdul Jalil, came to her service centre three weeks ago to request assistance to apply for a trader’s licence at the Seri Kembangan night market. She had initially turned him down due to his suspicious nationality but Hotim, 53, showed that he had a MyKad. A check with the National Registration Department found that he was given citizenship in December 2010 and the EC’s website confirmed that he is a registered voter in the Balakong state seat and Serdang parliamentary constituency. JASA seems to have been aggressively registering foreign-born voters with incomplete addresses in the Serdang, Ampang, Kelana Jaya and Gombak parliamentary seats, according to the Malaysian Electoral Roll Analysis Project (MERAP) chief researcher Dr Ong Kian Ming. In MERAP’s analysis of the 2011 third quarter electoral roll, all voters registered by a government agency other than the EC, denoted with Code J in the roll, have identity cards with the middle code “71”. Code “71” is used to identify Malaysians born outside the country such as Hotim. “It is very suspicious and raises concern that the National Registration Department may be issuing foreigners citizenship, and that Project IC (in Sabah) is being replicated in Selangor,” Ong was quoted as saying on online news site Malaysiakini last October. Teo said the number of voters in the Serdang parliamentary seat had increased 42.2% from 94,877 in 2008 to 134,888 last year. In fact, she said two out of the three state seats under Serdang have seen a growth of over 50% in the number of voters. She highlighted that Balakong has seen a spike in voters, from 28,682 to 43,408, while Bangi has recorded a hike from 35,898 to 53,951 in the past five years. In contrast, Seri Kembangan has only recorded an increase of 23.9% from 30,297 to 37,529. In 2008, DAP beat MCA to win Balakong with a majority of 4,795 and Seri Kembangan with a larger majority of 7,244 while PAS won Bangi by 6,192 votes from Umno. [Harakah] Fw: [Indian-Malaysian] Plot to ‘finish off’ Anwar
--- On Thu, 4/11/13, Maha Wira wrote: From: Maha Wira Subject: [Indian-Malaysian] Plot to ‘finish off’ Anwar To: Date: Thursday, April 11, 2013, 5:04 AM Plot to ‘finish off’ AnwarAthi Shankar | April 11, 2013Umno likely to pull out all the stops in the battle for Permatang Pauh, but observers say it will be difficult to dislodge the opposition leaderPERMATANG PAUH: Many local Umno chieftains believe that the forthcoming general election would be the best chance to unseat Pakatan Rakyat de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim in his home turf – Permatang Pauh. They claim that many constituents were unhappy with Anwar’s performance as their representative and realised that the opposition leader was just a “ceramah” man, who preferred to be in Kuala Lumpur. They claimed that people had realised Anwar had used Permatang Pauh folk as mere pawns for his political chess game to be a national leader.“Anwar should have left Permatang Pauh to contest elsewhere. He should not again ask Permatang Pauh folk to sacrifice for him. Because of him, Permatang Pauh folk are suffering from lack of business and development,” claimed Umno members.Whether their claims hold water or not, Umno’s campaign against Anwar would be based on those lines. Umno chieftains claim that with the right candidate and strategies, BN would have the best opportunity to finally “kill off” Anwar’s political career. They forecast that a defeat for Anwar would break up PKR and make the party redundant. PKR’s demise, they said, would then tear apart Pakatan Rakyat, the three-party coalition which had been gearing up all its machinery to capture Putrajaya.Umno leaders are perhaps still living in dream world. Even after the 2008 electoral reverses, they still failed to learn and realise that the country’s political landscape is so divided, polarised and hypercritical that any ruling coalition would always face formidable opposition.Stopping Pakatan’s march to Putrajaya is one thing while ending Anwar’s political career is a different ball game altogether. It would be easier to stop Pakatan, but beating Anwar in his home turf, where he started his political career with a victorious electoral debut in 1982, is a near impossible task. The Permatang Pauh parliamentary constituency is on the world map today because of one man – its favourite son and opposition icon Anwar. Whether one likes him or not, he is the undisputed king of Permatang Pauh. He is always a newsmaker and a hot item for the media. The affection between Permatang Pauh folk and Anwar is said to be too strong. Even when he was in jail, Permatang Pauh folk remained loyal to his family, voting in Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail in the 1999 and 2004 general elections. She also won in 2008 before resigning to pave the way for a by-election which Anwar won in style.“Umno would need a miracle to topple Anwar,” said several constituents. As of June 2012, Permatang Pauh has 70,667 registered voters, a huge leap of 12,208 within four years from 58,459 voters in 2008. Malay voters make up about 70%, Chinese 25% while Indians only six percent.Permatang Pauh encompasses three state constituencies – Seberang Jaya, Permatang Pasir and Penanti. Seberang Jaya is the most urbanised of the three and is a cosmopolitan centre with industrial workers, professionals and businessmen making up the majority of its population. It has 29,397 voters with 1,200 postal votes.Permatang Pasir is the rural part of Permatang Pauh with predominantly a Malay-voting population and its main economic activity is rice cultivation with some rubber and palm oil plantations. The constituency has 22,733 voters.Semi-rural constituency Penanti emulates Permatang Pasir’s agricultural activities mixed with some commercial activities. It has 18,537 registered voters.Sex videos an outdated strategyThe incumbent assemblymen are Umno’s Arif Shah Omar Shah of Seberang Jaya, PKR state chairman Mansor Othman of Penanti and PAS state commissioner Mohd Salleh Man of Permatang Pasir.Ironically Permatang Pauh is the only constituency in the country to have three representatives elected in by-elections post-March 2008. Anwar defeated Arif in a by-election in August, 2008 with a thumping majority of 15,671 votes. Mansor and Mohd Salleh won their seats in by-elections in 2009.The 13th general election would mark the first time Anwar would contest in a general election since 1995. Umno Permatang Pauh, which has about 17,000 members from 95 branches, has urged Najib Tun Razak to field strong candidates in all constituencies to give the party a winnable electoral jigsaw.Local leaders said that Umno’s chances in Permatang Pauh would be given a tremendous boost if a strong personality challenged Anwar. Although the party has not finalised its candidates, former state PAS leader and corporate figure Mazlan Ismail has been tipped as the favourite to be given the t

He is such a witty guy too. Click and view Dr. Azmi Sharom (the same guy who writes a column every Thursday in The Star) in action during a visit to Malacca where he gave a very interesting talk about the Federal Constitution! Never allow that Mamak to subvert the meaning of our Federal Constitution and never allow any one to bully you into believing and accepting that Malaysia is an Islamic country - IT IS NOT!!! He also passed the Syariah Law in Selangor in 1995 with the help of MCA, MIC, and Gerakan. Ask MCA, MIC and Gerakan why they support an Islamic State and passed laws to support it, and now complain that DAP is supporting an Islamic State, when DAP has never ever agreed to do so. You will help educate people about our law. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZYuNrFEJl8&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsVxbjMlNiM&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaOITEdewAM&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7E70D7YoKU&feature=related No virus found in this message. Iskandar Dzulkarnain, Malaysia Chronicle Wednesday, 09 March 2011 It seems that the Anwar Sodomy Saga never goes away. Dr Mahathir in his latest book has made some serious accusations against him. If Anwar happens to be found innocent, will Anwar seek to ban his book? SO is Anwar really a homosexual, or more appropriate a bisexual? Judging from the heydays, Anwar has always had a controversial life. As a fiery Youth student leader, he has led many protests and demonstrations against the government, as well as at nongovernmental establishments. Together with Ibrahim Ali who thinks the world of him, and refused to leave his side during his incarceration under the ISA, they have made a name for themselves. In his book: 4 women reportedly testified against him, for trying to solicit sex. 2 women had refused while 2 women consented to have sex with him. Somehow, the identities of these women were never divulged, so there is no concrete evidence other than what was penned by Dr M. Ummi Hafilda came into the picture openly accusing him. However The Public turned against her in anger, ostracized and disowned by her parents, Ummi still bears the reputation and stigma of 'perempuan sundal' (loose woman) I think she should get it tightened! She still maintains good relations with the former PM. The book also said: during the Supreme Umno Tribune internal inquiry, accusations of Sodomy levelled against Anwar was not denied, and Anwar continued to keep a silence on that issue. While behind bars, the infamous Black Eye incident by IGP Rahim was seen as Harm to the nation. His picture published worldwide, added sympathy to Annuar's cause. In 1998 he was sacked as Deputy Prime Minister, on the charge of Sodomy and Corruption. Jailed for 6 years, and released after Dr Mahathir resigned and the Sodomy charge dropped. In his book, Dr Mahathir acknowledged some of his past mistakes, but he affirmed that the sacking of Anwar wasn't a mistake. After leading the charge to deny BN a 2/3rds majority, Anwar was again charged later for Sodomy, based on the loose testimony of one Saiful Bukhari, The ongoing trial littered with inconsistencies, and flimsy evidence has been touted in the world media as a sham trial. Today, even as he stands accused of corruption and sodomy, Anwar is still seen as a national hero. I am sure, that when the time comes, no one will have any qualms for Anwar Ibrahim to become the New Premier. Everyone attests to his oratorical skills and the grace he conducts himself in public. He comes across as an intelligent and admirable person. Unlike other politicians, he emanates charisma and confidence. The thought on peoples mind are, whether he will he make a good prime minister, despite his questionable reputation. Even with all the bad press, there is hardly a murmur from the public, and people's respect for him is still at an all time high. At an Umno general assembly, the controversial book: "50 Dalil of why Anwar should not become Prime Minister" was circulated and Ibrahim Ali was among the first of Umno supreme council leaders to support Mahathir in the allegation that Anwar was homosexual. Although a copy was sent by someone to Dr M, the Doctor said that he has not read the book. But till today, it seems his association with Ibrahim is still very close and it looks like Dr M's vendetta against Anwar will continue to his last days. Oddly, not much of the misdeeds on BN has been written, even though at one time he complained of corruption in Umno under Badawi's administration. In his book, he did not see it fit to bring up the misdeeds of UMNO and BN, although as former PM he is an authority on it. Is this not selective persecution? And should the unforeseen happens, that Anwar is found innocent, Pakatan Rakyat manages to take over, and Anwar becomes Premier, it will be a nightmare for both Dr M and Ibrahim Ali. Although I think Dr M's book will be an interesting read, someone has commented he'd rather contribute the RM10

Such a promise became a mere joke when one looks at the leakages, laggard government ministries and agencies, scandalous losses by GLCs, the economy which drifted listlessly and "looting" by the political elite - all of which marked Najib's second year as PM (in 2010). Below are some examples: Blocks L and M in South China Sea: In May 2010, Pas proposed to file a suit against the Federal Government for ceding away the oil and gas-rich offshore Blocks L and M in South China Sea to Brunei to protect the rights of future generations of Sarawakians, Sabahans and Malaysians. Mahathir had estimated that the worth of oil and gas rights for both blocks are in the region of US$100 billion (RM320 billion). Pos Malaysia Bhd: On 8 May 2010, Minister in the PM's Department Nor Mohamed Yakcop confirmed that Pos Malaysia Bhd had incurred losses over the years amounting to RM546 million. He said he was "not directly involved (with the losses) because Pos Malaysia, as a government-linked company (GLC), has its board of directors and any decision is determined by the board, including Khazanah Nasional Bhd, without having to refer to the ministry of finance". Felda: In an open letter dated 13 June, former Land and Co-Operative Development deputy minister Dr Tan Kee Kwong, who was put in charge of answering questions in Parliament regarding all Felda matters during his tenure, alleged that there was mismanagement and high-level government corruption in the organisation. He also accused Najib of "single handedly destroying Felda"! "As of now out of the huge cash hoard of RM 4.5 Billion, only RM200 Million is left. In actual fact with the record price of CPO (crude palm oil) for the past few years, Felda, if managed properly, should have cash reserves of RM6 billion! The reverse has happened and now it has only a pathetic sum left." After his initial attempts to appease an angry PM and to do some damage control Ahmad Maslan, the deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Department and in charge of Felda, admitted in parliament that Felda's cash reserves had plunged to RM2.73 billion from RM4.08 billion in 2004 and five years later it dropped further to RM1.35 billion in 2009. Johor Corporation (JCorp): In July 2010, it was revealed that Johor Corporation (JCorp), the most successful state corporation in the country was in debt amounting to RM3.58 billion. Its Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Ali Hashim denied his resignation was due to the company's debt and added that JCorp's asset value of RM12 billion, including RM6 billion in listed shares, is currently higher than the debt itself. Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ): On 29 July 2010, former Transport Minister Ling Liong Sik was charged in the Kajang Sessions Court over his involvement in the RM12.5 billion Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal. PKFZ, a commercial and industrial project south of the capital, was conceived as a RM1.82 billion venture constructed over 1,000 acres. However, costs are expected to balloon to RM12.5 billion, making the affair one of the country's biggest financial scandals and a major embarrassment for the government (Malaysiakini). Sime Darby Berhad: On 5 August 2010, the Malaysian Insider reported that the 100-year-old Sime Darby Berhad could face massive losses amounting to RM2 billion or as high as RM2.5 billion. Most of the losses are down to ill-advised investments in the energy and utilities sector in Qatar as well as tardy business practices in the development of the Bakun Dam in Sarawak. Bakun: On 13 August 2010, Anwar urged Najib to come clean about further potential losses in the troubled Bakun Dam project. This is especially if the losses, said to amount to another RM2 bil

You decide To: Date: Monday, February 28, 2011, 10:46 PM Just a gentle reminder... Why do we have to pay toll everyday? Now, we have to pay an extra RM50 for each credit card. For what? ExtraGST (goods and services tax). Again, where do most of these monies go to? Look at the long list: We have to pay for security guards because the police are hopeless. We have to install filters because the water supply is dirty. We have to watch satellite tv because the government broadcasts crap. Imean REAL CRAP !! Many kids have to go for tuition or to private schools because the governmentschools are hopelessly bad. We have to pay IPPs (independent power providers) because the governmentcannot provide consistent electricity? Think We have to pay heavy taxes on foreign cars because Mahathir wants to keephis useless dying local car industry alive. ON top of it, APs benefit onlyhis blood-sucking cronies, not the country or its populace. Most have to drive because the government cannot provide reliable and efficientpublic transport. We have to pay heavily to sustain the government's affirmative action policies(and their greeds). We have to pay for expensive private health care because the public hospitalsare crowded . All in all, we have to pay a PREMIUM to stay in this country! 1Malaysia Boleh??? You decide. How is it that Opposition State Government in Penang can give her citizensfree internet access within one year in Government , rice for the poor, while BN Government in power since Independence cannot do it?. butinstead wants to build more high rise building and embarked on expensivenon-beneficial projects ( new parliment, istana just to mention 2 cases)??? Why in the state of Selangor, does the BN wants the Selangorians to paymore for water while the state government with much limited resources canprovide it at a much cheaper rate and also free for the first 20m3? [Harakah] Fw: PAS tanding PRK Dun Merlimau
“Senarai pendek calon mungkin 13 Februari.

Ibrahim was responding to Singapore Berita Harian readers who were reportedly unhappy with former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for claiming that the minority group was marginalised. "No Malays in Singapore dare to talk the truth about the treatment they received," said Ibrahim. Yesterday, national news agency Bernama reported several Singapore Berita Harian readers as saying that Malays on the island-republic enjoyed progress without subsidies and on equal treatment with other communities. One reader, Sallim Ahmad, reportedly said it had become Mahathir's theme that "the Singapore Malays are being marginalised until the end of world." He also said the position of Islam was protected although it was not the official religion in the republic. Another reader called Kamariah Lim Li Hwa was quoted as saying: "We the Malays of Singapore feel at ease and are grateful that the Singapore rulers execute our trust with transparency." Ibrahim claimed today, however, that these remarks did not represent the Malay community in Singapore in its entirety. "That is a planted statement. The statement does not represent the voice of the majority of Malays in Singapore," said the Pasir Mas MP. "So, don't manipulate the issues. We know what is happening," he added. Dr Mahathir recently warned against dispersing Kampung Baru's Malay residents in the same way Singapore had scattered the Malay community and diluted its voice. He wrote in his blog that while Malaysia is being governed by a Malay majority government that cares for the fate of Malays, "let us not be so sure that there will never be a government where the voice of Malay representatives is removed." In June, Dr Mahathir told a rally of Malay NGOs that Malays in Malaysia risked becoming marginalised like their Singapore counterparts because of political divisions. The former prime minister had said: "If we do not think deeply about the future of our community then there is a possibility that we can become [like] the Singaporean Malays and have no power." Today, Selangor Anti-Fraud Coalition (GAPS) chairman Hamidzun Khairuddin said Dr Mahathir had a right to make such remarks as an elder statesman. "What is wrong with his statements?" asked Hamidzun. "I am sure Tun Dr Mahathir made his statements sincerely. He was looking at it as a statesman who has wide knowledge and experience in the Malay and Muslim community in the Asian region," added the group's leader. Hamidzun also said the local airing of the comments by Singapore Berita Harian's readers showed that Malaysia practised freedom of speech. "It shows that this country respects the opinion of Singaporean Malays who can rebut what Tun Dr Mahathir said," said Hamidzun. He then pointed out that Singapore Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew had similarly criticised Malaysia. In September, Lee reportedly claimed that if Malaysia's founding father Tunku Abdul Rahman had decided to keep both nations together 45 years ago, much of what Singapore had achieved today in terms of equality among the races would be likewise be achieved in Malaysia. "Now we have a very polarised Malaysia - Malays, Chinese and Indians in separate schools, living separate lives and not really getting on with one another," Lee was quoted as saying in an interview with the New York Times. - Malaysian Insider http://www.malaysia-chronicle.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view =item&id=6607:dr-m-has-lost-touch-with-reality&Itemid=2 Dr M has lost touch with reality Friday, 21 January 2011 06:43 It is nauseating and irksome to read Tu
