No, their licensing explicitly says Don't register for multiple API
keys in an attempt to cirumvent rate limits.
Of course, if the plugin will be open source, you can always edit the
code and change the API key to your own which isn't shared
I'm not an so early adopter to the squeeze world and MIP was being

So I understands if MIP have problem to gain new users , it a bit of a

However if some one writes a smart mix app that's just installs via the

For me there is currently no alternative.
I have been researching this a bit. Sure, there is Sonos. But Sonos
doesn't have a server that runs on Linux, and it doesn't support
anything above redbook. So all my 96/24 needledrops would have to be
down sampled. Ugh. Not only is that a lot of
I have nothing ( not much ) against meridians hifi ,but the sooloos

I'd design it with analogue and S/PDIF outputs in every unit, then have

I have a problem with squeezeslave (I believe) failing to connect to any

The squeezeslave in question is self-compiled i64-alsa-display version,
but I have also tried pre-compiled squeezeslaves of versions 1.2 and
1.1, all of which have the same problem.

I am using SqueezePlayer on several Android devices, getting pretty good
results overall.
I have one device that I wish would do better -- it's an Archos 70 (and
was a mistaken purchase :( ).
It is basically a bedside clock/radio and I have it in a sync group with

It looks like Cambridge Audio has a couple of solutions that might work

Moved to Apple TV a while back and don't regret it.
The sb2 is in the drawer now waiting for the call from a tech museum or

Atv for me works great with very little problems and the sound is
great.
It's a pity that sb's software for me anyway got very unreliable and

Isn't it a relief to know that we have options? :D
Logitech/UE may yet come out with a product that makes these discussions
moot, but I'm still pissed off that
Ah. I did have it on battery when I noticed it, but it might have been

Ok, now it keeps running again, it's definitely not charging or

It depends.
The server can act as a proxy and buffers Radio streams at least when
you start syncing devices (as they all need the same offset).
Unsynced there is an option for each player under the audio settings.
'mp3 streaming method' which can be set to direct or proxied streaming.
Oh by the way : in the same settings you can activate bitrate limiting.
This will reduce the network load and maybe you can get happy with this
option and your Archos? It's a per player setting so does not affect the
others.
my main concern is: who will support LMS? lately my LMS scans aren't
picking up iTunes playlists, and it may be because of iTunes 11. Who's
going to keep LMS alive and well?
i'm heartbroken over the news about Logitech not supporting the SB

Pippin don't know if you've seen the stop service option if you press

You see the symbol in the action bar longer than 15 min?
What happens if you force quit OrangeSqueeze via the App settings? Does
the symbol disappear after the next 15min?
