I have a 7.1 set up and it does work. The effects are subtle but noticeable
as an enhancement to the general ambient sound.

Even with my old 5.1 disks, the sound seems fuller even if it's not really.

Sound Forge doesn't do multi track sadly. It does 7.1 surround sound and 5.1
surround sound though. The pro version. As for multi track things, well
there's always Sonar, but I forget how much it is.

It now plays the video as well as the audio. There is no option to not play
video like there was some versions back.

Yep, it's out. It's the Olympus LS-100. How ever from what I read on
The comments on their intro video of it on you tube, the editing of the

pretty good. The guys at Olympus just replyed to my comment on their intro

demo of it, so I guess we'll hear more soon. Then there's always

What's happening I think is the main menu comes up, then I have to somehow
start the trailers before yet another menu comes up where I can hopefully
play the movie.

It is a program for getting the audio of a DVD so you can listen to it on
something else like an MP3 player, CD player or anything else with out
having to load the movie just to listen to a cirtain chapter or 2. I love
it. It helped me learn how my movies should sound on a good surround sound
