I think the main issue is the duration - it is 17 mins long. "Persistent
Mode" solves similar problems for users
Repeated test this morning. The Rhapsody in Blue track consistently had
problems on DAC32 using LMS on CORE32, no problem with DAC32 with LMS on
Ubuntu - LMS 8.2.1 version. Problems often started after about 5 min.
No problems on CORE32 after Settings/Network/Streaming mode for HTTP(S)

I've just been testing Tidal Flac with new Muse speaker on an CORE32
8.2.0 system (default File Types settings) and I got jumps and other
issues with a track (Rhapsody in Blue 17min). Jumps and funny silent
loop 45 sec before end. Problems were reproducible (i.e. no clean

To use a serial interface on a Linux box - 2 option.
1. Dumb async terminals mode tty.
2. SLIP - TCP/IP over a serial link.
I think dumb terminal would be simplest.

The -V will use the ALSA controls but not all USB devices have lots of
controls - some may not even have a volume (i.e. device just converts
PCM to audio - volume control is done on PCM samples not by USB device)

It is a snapshot of the HLS m3u8 chunk Playlist (i.e. usually 10 sec
segments but in this case zero secs ! ) and AFAIK should not be made

I've just done a quick test on Z100.
iHeart ad stuff is a mess.
I get "adContext" only in thr HLS EXTINF - nothing in the ID3 tags. No
"song_spot" stuff so no flags.
I get no "adContext" displayed on WebUI or Material.
"adContext" seems to be another way of inserting ads.

With HLS there are multiple places to provide metadata.
For Z100, track data seems to be provided into the HLS playlist - and I
think it is easy to spot any title starting with *text="Spot Block End"*

Yes and No - mainly a sourceforge issue. I upload my repository XML to
sourceforge.net (plugins ZIP etc are hosted in github) but for reliable
downloads the LMS 3rd party extension specifically loads from the

The only change to plugin is a fix to make plugin work again after

V1.* Favorites depend on an operational RadioNet plugin to deliver the

I think there may be an additional "Favorites" issue if they are V1
Favorites. If so they should be replaced by Favorites created from V2 as
V1 Favorites have problems on some players.

Looking at logs there are many strange thisg - not CDplayer associated.
1. Player seems to be "discovered" very often - this coudl imply players
are dropping off the network. Perhaps the delay is LMS waiting for a
player - not CDplayer being slow.

The conf file entry is "wavin pcm" that is the plugin supplies a PCM
stream.
PCM stream has no header and there is nothing in the PCM sample which
provides the format (unlike for example Flac or MP3) so LMS does not
know from the stream what is the sample format and so LMS assumes CD

If you look at the Favorite opml - you'll see that the radio.net URL in
the Favorites has to be processed by the RadioNet parser specified in
the Favorites entry. Just playing it like "Tune-in URL" won't work.

I think I set the player to "sleep at end of song" (in case I fell
asleep before end) so perhaps LMS shut the connection down within say 5
