Re: [AI] Are railway concession certificates invalid after introduction of E card?
Mobit they do not know about the circuler issued on 19th march when I told them about the circular they told me to get them a print of that circular & will go to DRM office on Wednesday or thirsday, but I cannot understand so many days after submitting all my documents I have not received the ID card, I had submitted on 26th February 2015 now almost one & half month is over I had sent one of my friend to ask in DRM office they replied that they will call the concerned person till then never enquire about the ID card, actually the official who is sitting inside the pass section in DRM office in new delhi he himself is unaware of 19th March circular, after that many of my friends have submitted their forms but there was no proper reply about the id card by the railway authority. this is harassment for disabled persons, why no NGOs are criticizing about this, or nobody law specialists in this group are taking any measure. I think, making of ID Card should be an optional. Means, those who want to purchase online/offline tickets, can go for an ID Card. And those who don't want to purchase online tickets can go by the traditional way. Vivek, then how come they have given the electronic card's validity upto Jan 2016 if the original consession is valid for another 5 years? He could have shown them clause number 8 of this circular which is evident about the validity of electronic card to be 5 years from the date of its issue or upto the last validity of the railway consession which ever is earlier. Re: [AI] Are railway concession certificates invalid after introduction of E card?
Vivek, please refer to the para number 8 of the above 19th March circular, it reads as follows: 8. The validity of the card will be five years from the date of issue or till the last date up to which the concession certificate is valid, whichever is earlier. Mean, his railway consession is valid upto 31st Jan 2016. Thats why it is advisable to renew your railway consession before going to submit your document, so that you could get maximum validity of your electronic card. I don’t know the reason why the page is not available? Hence, sending the link of dropbox. You may download this circular from this link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3482069/CC_18_2015.pdf fortunately, this time, railway authority is well aware about the procedure. While enquiring at drm office, they were well aware about it. So contact your nearest drm office. I am also pasting it’s contents below. Note: this is just the result of the scanned ocr output. But they have refused to book the ticket on regular railway concession certificate which is recent one. The man at ticket counter asked my friend to obtain ID card from railway commercial office and also tol that these certificate are no more valid after the introduction of that electronic ID. Dear Friend, Both Concession certificate and ID card for booking railway ticket are different. With concession certificate (new format), you can book ticket from the ticket counters at railway stations. With ID card you can book ticket both from counter and through IRCTC. Hi all, one of my friends is facing difficulty in booking the railway ticket with the help of his railway concession certificate. He made this concession certificate last month as per the revised performa. But my friend has been advised to make a new ID card from commercial office of railway, and also told that these certificates are no longer valid. Is there any such notification or circular from the railway?
