Re: AWReporting- data is different from google adwords

2017-08-04 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Ted,

The Data freshness guide
 explains that
your account statistics (such as clicks, conversions and impressions) could
possibly be delayed by less than three hours. However, generating report
from the API and UI filtered in the same date range should still produce
similar data from both.

For us to be able to verify the data generated between the 2 reports

Hi Ted,

Thank you for providing to us screenshots of your AdWords UI report and the
report generated from AWReporting
 tool.

For us to have a better look on our end, could you provide to us privately
(using *reply privately to author* option) the following?

   - AdWords account Id where you are pulling data from
   - Report type
    where
   discrepancies were encountered
   - Fields selected/included in the report
   - Filters specified when generating the report
   - Complete AdWords UI screenshot including which tabs (campaigns, ads,

   - The actual generated report file from AWReporting tool

However, as the discrepancies are from the data generated via AWReporting
tool, you might also want to raise this concern to their team via this link

If you specified as request header the clientCustomerId of the AdWords
client account associated with te...@gmail.com when executing the

then you should be getting, at least, that account from the response.

For us to investigate further, could you provide to us privately (using *reply

Re: AuthenticationError.CLIENT_CUSTOMER_ID_INVALID

2017-07-25 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

As per documentation
,

the CLIENT_CUSTOMER_ID_INVALID error is mainly triggered when you specified
a client customer ID (not your OAuth2 client id) that is invalid or is not
a number. Client customer ID

 is always
composed of digits with no alphabets or other punctuations except "-", and
is in the form such as this example : 123-456-7890.

clientCustomerId used in the request? These information will help us verify

Re: Fetch account performance for accounts managed by sub-manager

2017-07-24 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Dongliang,

For us to verify on our end, could you share to us privately (using *reply
privately to author* option) the report definition

 used
as well as the generated report file?

Do note that if the account has no campaign, then there are no ads to
generate impressions. This could possibly be the reason why you're not
getting any rows where performance data/metrics are included in your
report. If you wish to include zero impressions in your generated report,
then you may set the includeZeroImpressions

 HTTP
header to true.

However, please note that some fields doesn't support zero impressions so
if you include them in your selector, then it might produce an error when
generating the report where includeZeroImpressions is set to true. For
example, for Account Performance Report, ClickType field

 does
not support zero impressions so if you include it in your report definition
with includeZeroImpressions = true, then an error will be thrown.

Re: Code for getting keyword statistics for search campaign

Hi Prashant,

As per documentation
,

the Keywords report in the AdWords UI is equivalent to the Keywords
Performance Report

 in
the AdWords API. You can filter the generated Keywords Performance Report
data from the API to only return results from the Search Network by adding
predicate values to AdNetworkType1

Re: Fetch account performance for accounts managed by sub-manager

2017-07-21 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Dongliang,

As per documentation
,

the scenario you are trying to achieve should be possible by using the
developer token of your root MCC account (100), the OAuth2 credentials of
the root MCC account (100) or the sub MCC account (1001), and the
clientCustomerId of the targeted client account (2001) in the request
header.

To help us investigate further, could you provide to us the report
definition

 used
and the generated report file from the AdWords API?

Re: how to get shared library remarketing api?

2017-07-20 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

You may use the AdwordsUserListService.get()

 to
retrieve list of audiences available in the AdWords API. Additionally, you
may refer to this guide
 for
detailed information about Remarketing and Audience Targeting.

On the other hand, it seems that the YouTube users or video remarketing
lists is only available via the AdWords UI. However, you can opt to create
audience
lists eligible to serve on Google Search, YouTube, and Gmail

 but
will not be available on the Google Display Network.

Let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

Currently, as per documentation

campaign level bid modifiers can be retrieved using the get() method of

You can consolidate data generated from those services with the available

Re: How get CustomerId with OAuth 2.0

2017-07-14 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Just to clarify, do you wish to get the Customer ID associated with your
generated OAuth2 credentials?

If yes, then you may do so by using the CustomerService.getCustomers()

 along
with the OAuth2 credentials generated without specifying any
clientCustomerId in the request header. After which, you may then retrieve
the Customer ID

 from
the returned Customer

 object.

Re: Migrate from V201702 to V201705

2017-07-06 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Jeszi,

Below are my answers to your questions.

I am not sure what are exactly the replacements for them in version
V201705. Are they PolicyApprovalStatus.DISAPPROVED and
PolicyApprovalStatus.UNDER_REVIEW?

The ApprovalStatus enums

 from
201702 is not directly equivalent to the PolicyApprovalStatus enums

 of
201705 because the combinedApprovalStatus field

 does
not just equate to the Approval Status but it is a combination of review
state and status.

Can I replace approvalStatus.setField("AdGroupCreativeApprovalStatus") with
approvalStatus.setField("PolicySummary") ?

If you wish to get the Approval status that combines review state and
status, then you may use the combinedApprovalStatus field
.
 This
field can be selected and filtered on using the value
"CombinedApprovalStatus".

Additionally, you may refer to this forum discussion

 that
discussed the difference of the old and the new field.

Re: Hardcoding json secrets file for service account authorization

2017-06-13 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Peter,

Basically, you just need to generate the OAuth2 credentials and refresh
token once for the parent MCC account, then any of the child accounts under
the MCC account can be accessed using the same OAuth2 credentials. You will
just need to specify the clientCustomerId in the request header for the
AdWords client account the user want to access data from. Here's a sample
code

 for
changing the clientCustomerId programmatically.

Another thing you need to look out for is when the access token expires
,

however, this is automatically handled by default if you use any of the
available client libraries
.

Let me know if this helps.

Re: v201705 of AdWords

2017-06-13 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Currently, information about your current account balance is not available
via the AdWords API.

Alternatively, you can try to get an approximation of your remaining
balance by getting the amount spent per account via Cost statistics

 generated
from Account Performance Report

 and
use this data against your original budget set via BudgetOrderService

.

Re: Hardcoding json secrets file for service account authorization

2017-06-13 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Peter,

As per guide
,

if you are generating OAuth2 credentials via service account flow
,

the path to the generated .json file seems to be the only value that you
can set for OAuth2SecretsJsonPath key in the config file. You may double
check with the .NET client library team
 to confirm.

Alternatively, you may want to consider generating OAuth2 credentials using
the installed application flow

 instead.
It achieves similar goal and allows you to set client Id and client secret
variables

 instead
of setting a file path.

Re: How to add date range filter dropdown for Adwords Report using API ??

2017-06-13 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

These are the supported date ranges
,
which includes setting a custom date range (ex. May 01, 2017 to May 02,
2017), that you can include in your drop-down list to filter your generated
reports.

You may trigger the generation of the filtered report upon selection of a
particular date range in your drop down. However, creation of a drop-down
with a selection of date ranges is not available in the AdWords API. You
have to do this on your end as the AdWords API is mainly for pulling and
pushing data into your AdWords account.

Additionally, below is a sample code in java on how to set a custom date
range via a selector.

Selector selector = new Selector();
DateRange date = new DateRange();
date.setMin("20170501");
date.setMax("20170502");
selector.setDateRange(date);
.
ReportDefinition reportDefinition = new ReportDefinition();

reportDefinition.setDateRangeType(ReportDefinitionDateRangeType.CUSTOM_DATE);

Re: ServiceAccount not working on new API verson

2017-06-08 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Rafael,

As per documentation
,

you can persist the refresh token to refresh expired access token
.

That process is being taken care of, by default, if you use the available
client libraries
.
Alternatively, you may refer to the OAuthTokenGenerator source code

 to
generate new refresh token on your end or directly use the OAuthTokenGenerator
tool

 itself.

As for changing app flow type for Google Analytics, it will be best that
you ask their support team

As mentioned earlier, to generate demographics performance via AdWords API
similar to the Demographics reports

shown

In addition, you may also consider generating Parental Status Performance

Re: Can we pull down Unique Reach using the API yet?

there's no mention of "Unique Reach" metric added in the latest API version
(201705). You may refer to this table

to
look for available metrics and fields that can be generated from the

Hi,

You may filter supported report types
 by
network via setting fields AdNetworkType1

 and AdNetworkType2

 as
predicates. Refer to this report definition sample

 to
see how predicates are defined in the SOAP request.

In addition, you may filter reports by device via the Device field
.

As for generating reports about demographics performance, you may look into Age

check other available report types.

Re: rateexceedederror targetingideaservice

2017-05-30 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Karim,

As per the Rate Limit guide
, the
RateExceededError could be triggered by a number of factors so you need to
be mindful of these as well as other Targeting Idea specific limits

when
executing TargetingIdeaService.get

.

If you will be required to retrieve this much volume, then I would
recommend that you upgrade to Standard Access

 to
have unlimited daily operational limit. With unlimited daily operational
limit, you can create multiple separate requests for a group of keywords to
avoid executing request with too many keywords while taking into
consideration the rate limits in place. In addition, you might want to use
the RateLimiter extension

 to
help you handle rate limit errors.

Unfortunately, BatchJobService doesn't support TargetindIdeaService.get
operation and only supports these mutate operations

.

Do note that the Target CPA

 you

Re: Can Adwords API be used from Client side Javascript API Calls.

2017-05-30 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Shubham,

For easier integration with the AdWords API, we recommend using the available
client libraries
 as they
handle the backend API calls for you and expose easy-to-use objects for you
to work with.

Unfortunately, we can only provide support for integration done through the
available client libraries mentioned. That said, here's a guide
 that
details the basic elements of an AdWords API call if you wish to manually
build the API request from your end instead of using the helper classes in
the client libraries.

Re: ExcludeHiddenAccounts=true not working

2017-05-24 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Luis,

This is expected behavior. The reason why ManagedCustomerService.get

is returning all your accounts even after setting ExcludeHiddenAccounts to
true is because all your accounts are not hidden (isHidden

 =
false) as you've mentioned.

As per blog post

 you've
referenced earlier, to hide or unhide an account, you need to set isHidden

 field
of the account's ManagedCustomerLink

 to
true or false, respectively. You can achieve this using
ManagedCustomerService.mutatelink

 which
accepts LinkOperation

.

As for enabling SOAP logging, you may refer to this guide
 for .NET
and this guide

 for
Python.

Re: Linking individual customer's AdWords account with corresponding GMB account

2017-05-22 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Kruger,

As per sample code
,

if the gmbEmailAddress

 specified
is the same email used to generate the existing refresh token and OAuth2
credentials for your AdWords Account, then you may use the same existing
credentials found in your ads.properties file to set the access token in
the oAuthInfo

 field
via oAuth2Credential.getAccessToken().

Otherwise, if you are using different Google accounts for GMB and AdWords,
then you must generate a separate credential to set the access token in the
oAuthInfo

 field
as discussed in here
.

Re: UploadOfflineConversions api data upload

2017-05-18 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Bala,

Below are my answers to each question.

1. What happen If I upload same gClid data twice? Assuming all conversion
name, value, time etc are same.

> As per documentation
> ,
>
> the first upload will be recorded while the duplicates are ignored and
> reported as successes.

2. Is the below mutate method call is atomic?

As per documentation
,

mutate operations such as OfflineConversionFeedOperation

 are
atomic so by default, all uploaded conversions will fail if even a single
upload fails in a single request. If you still wish to process the
successful uploads while also getting the information about the failed
ones, you may enable the partial failure
 flag.
With partial failure flag enabled, the API request is still atomic and the
returned
value

 will
consists information about the successful operations

 and
the failed operations
.

You may pattern your retry logic with this sample code

 for
handling partial failures.

3. In Adwords account is it possible to find what gclids are uploaded?

> You may get the uploaded GCLIDs in the googleClickId field
>
> via
> the OfflineConversionFeedReturnValue
>
> after
> uploading the conversions.

Re: BatchJobService for uploading offline conversion data

2017-05-17 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Bala,

As per the list of supported operations

 for
BatchJobService, uploading offline conversion data is not included so you
may have to do the asynchronous logic on your end.

However, looking at the faultString provided, the RateExceededError

 was
triggered by exceeding the permissible number of daily operations
 for a Basic
Access account. If you are indeed using a Basic Access developer token and
your average daily operations and/or report downloads will exceed the
permissible amount, then I suggest that you upgrade your account to
Standard Access

 to
have unlimited allowable daily operations and report downloads in
consideration with the other Rate limits
 in
place.

Re: How to call adwords api for pulling the googleadwords report

2017-05-17 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Subramanyam,

We highly recommend using the available client libraries
 for easier
integration. You may refer to these sample codes
 for
downloading any supported AdWords API reports
 such as Ad
Performance Report

.

On the other hand, using third party tools such as Postman to validate API
endpoints is out of scope for the support that we provide.

If you need to get the URL endpoints for each AdWords API Service, just go
to the *Overview* section of that particular API service and refer to the
*Production
WSDL* sub section. For example, for ReportDefinitionService
,

the corresponding API endpoint is
https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201702/ReportDefinitionService?wsdl
.

Make sure that the clientCustomerId request header set when executing the

However, to help us narrow down the root cause of the error, could you
reply to us privately (using *reply privately to author* option) with the
SOAP request and response captured when error was encountered?

Also, were you able to reproduce the error even with the latest API version
(201702)?

Hi Dave,

At the campaign level, you may consider using Placements

 as Negative Criterion

 via
the CampaignCriterionService

 to
exclude your ads from displaying in specific domains. You may also do
similar approach at the ad group level via the AdGroupCriterionService

.

However, please note of the limits

Re: Regarding the Estimate Request Limits

2017-05-09 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Jacob,

The API limits documentation
 only
specifies the corresponding error that will be thrown when the limit is
exceeded and have no specific mention on permanent shutoff.

As per Traffic Estimator limit guide
,

the TrafficEstimatorError.TOO_MANY_KEYWORD_ESTIMATE_REQUESTS

 error
will only be thrown if the 2500 keyword estimates limit is exceeded per
*request*.

Taking into consideration the daily operational limit
, I suggest that
you create multiple separate requests instead of sending a single request
for more than 2500 keyword estimates. Also, you might want to consider
upgrading your account (if it's not yet) to Standard Access

 to
have unlimited daily operational limit but still taking into consideration
the rate limits
 in
place.

Re: Webpage from API

2017-05-08 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Frank,

You can't directly use the code samples in the PHP client library as
webpages as these examples are meant to be run via the command line and not
as a webpage
.
However, you may use the same code flow/logic from one of the code samples

into
your app. In addition, here's the API Call Structure guide
 for
reference on building your request.

Whichever platform you are using for building your application, as long as
it can communicate via SOAP, then integration with the AdWords API
shouldn't be a problem. That said, you may access the different AdWords API
services and report types
 the same
way as how you typically communicate to any SOAP services.

Re: Report Download Read Timeout

2017-05-04 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

As per documentation
,
report download request has no specific restriction on the date range but
may time out on extremely large data sets.

While reducing the date range is one option you may try, you may also
consider using predicates to break up the report request into multiple
smaller requests and see if you can retain the 4 months date range you
prefer for each separate report request.

Re: AdCustomizers download FeedItems target adGroupId and campaignId

2017-05-04 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Paris,

Please note that AdGroupFeedService

 is
used to link a feed to an AdGroup using a matching function. Having said
that, the Feed Id and Ad Group Id associated with your Ad customizer will
only be returned from AdGroupFeedService.get()

 if
they are properly linked with a matchingFunction

.

If you only need the associated Feed Ids and AdGroup Ids of all of your Ad
customizers, then you can retrieve all Feed Ids

 via AdCustomizerFeedService

 and
use those Feed Ids to traverse through FeedItemService.get()

 and
get the TargetingAdGroupId

 (if
you set a targeted AdGroup Id upon creation of feed items). Similar flow
should be done to retrieve Campaign Ids but you will use TargetingCampaignId

 instead.

Let me know if this helps.

Re: Ratelimiter Extension

2017-05-03 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Based from the Basic Usage section

 of
the RateLimiter Extension, AdWordsServicesWithRateLimiter object could be
used like a normal AdWordsServices object and it would automatically handle
rate limit errors. Having said that, technically, all supported API
services, such as CustomerService and ManagedCustomerService, that could be
invoked using the AdWordsServices should also be supported via the
AdWordsServicesWithRateLimiter object.

Also, no restrictions or limitations specified for the RateLimiter
Extension as per blog post

.

However, your queries are more specific to the RateLimiter Extension usage
than with the AdWords API. It would be best that you double check with the
Client
Library team as
they are more equipped to answer you accurately.

Re: Adword campaigns are real time?

2017-04-27 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Joe,

Below are my answers to your questions.

A. Google's documentation indicates it might take several hours for the
userlist to be populated with members
.

 Can we confirm?

Yes, based from the guide
 you
mentioned, it will take several hours for the list to be populated with
members.

B. How long will it take for Campaign "A" to start targeting the additional
> members added in step 4? Does this happen as soon as the "several hours"
> (Above) have passed? Or is there a delay between population and actual
> targeting?

As per documentation
,

as long as userListMembershipStatus field is in "Open" status, then this
means that the UserList is accruing members and can be targeted to but I
suggest that you double check in the AdWords Community forum

if
ever there is delay time for the targeting of newly added members.

Re: Getting Error "class HttpTransport has no attribute '_HttpTransport__get_request_url'"

2017-04-27 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Ethan,

I'm a teammate of Peter and I'm here to assist you with your concern.

First off, do you still get the error specified? If yes and if you think
you have followed correctly the setup guide
 referenced by my
colleague earlier, then as suggested earlier, it would be best to double
check with the Python client library team
 as the error
seems to be more Python client library setup specific than with the AdWords
API.

Thanks and regards,
Ivan

Re: GMB Extensions, can't use personal account?

2017-04-26 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi JC,

With regards to retrieving your personal account id, it would be best to
confirm with the GMB team
 as we only
handle the AdWords API part of the integration.

As for the InternalApiError.UNEXPECTED_INTERNAL_API_ERROR
,

this could sometimes be triggered by a temporary server-side issue. Could
you retry running the service again and see if the error persists?

Also, to help us investigate further, could you reply to us privately
(using *reply privately to author* option) with your SOAP request and
response?

Regards,
Ivan

Re: GMB Extensions, can't use personal account?

2017-04-26 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi JC,

As per documentation
,

there is no specific restriction for the GMB account you can link to but we
recommend that you use business accounts rather than personal ones for
linking to avoid sharing your personal account details.

Let me know if this helps.

Re: Google AdWords API: Test Account AccountManagement/CreateAccount Error

2017-04-26 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Harry,

The ManagedCustomerServiceError.NOT_AUTHORIZED

 means
that the clientCustomerId set is not authorized to perform the request.
Could you check if the clientCustomerId set is an MCC account when running
the ADD operation for ManagedCustomerService
?

You should be able to perform the request even if via a test MCC account.

For us to be able to investigate further, could you reply to us privately
(using *reply privately to author *option) the SOAP request and response
captured when error was encountered?

Hi Sean,

After taking another look at your SOAP requests particularly your

Re: Ad Words is not allowing me to download data in through ad words api

2017-04-21 Thread 'Ivan Bautista' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Jaydeep,

Do note that the RATE_EXCEEDED error

 could
be triggered by other factors aside from exceeding the daily report
downloads limit for
your account. Having said that, could you confirm if you encountered the
RATE_EXCEEDED error even after 48 hours of no API requests or operations
executed aside from not generating any reports? Also, to help us
investigate further, could you reply to us privately (using *reply
privately to author* option) with your clientCustomerId as well as the
complete error logs?

In addition, you may refer to this guide
 for
possible causes for the error and ways to handle them depending on your use
case. However, if your account is under Basic Access and if you forecast
that your average daily report downloads will exceed the daily limit for
Basic Access, then I suggest that you upgrade your account to Standard
Access to execute
unlimited daily operations.
