Oh...just because they've done it, doesn't mean it can't be done better. My complaint with the indoor unit was that there was no way to mount it to anything. They needed some eyes for screws, or keyholes on the back, or something along those lines. The outdoor version wasn't particularly rugged for an outdoor device, and still nothing to mount it to. Ubiquiti makes or used to make a device that did that. The indoor version that looked like an elongated coupler, and an outdoor version that was a plug on a pigtail with a jack on the other end. They are about $20 for either one. Part number INS-8023AF They are converting from 48v 802.3af to 12V passive PoE on the spare pairs. Are you looking at the same application, or something else?
