Re: [AFMUG] Powering a Syncbox Junior without a uGPS type device
If I had a Parasitic laying around I would. And the timing port version does NOT have an RJ45, it has to run off power fed to it via a timing port (uGPS) which Forrest acknowledge now. I actually had done a straight through cable (minus reset line) just to see if an FSK would turn it on; it doesn’t. You can always do a regular SBJ deluxe which has a dedicated SyncInjector/power port. If it was me, I'd just use a Parasitic pipe since we usually have some of those laying around. Re: [AFMUG] Powering a Syncbox Junior without a uGPS type device
One FSK AP? Just put a Parasitic pipe on it. The 4-port SBJ aux & timing port versions are basically identical. Aux = RJ45. Timing port = RJ12. Obviously requires UGPS power capable radios. You can always do a regular SBJ deluxe which has a dedicated SyncInjector/power port. If it was me, I'd just use a Parasitic pipe since we usually have some of those laying around. Re: [AFMUG] Powering a Syncbox Junior without a uGPS type device
AFAIK All semi-modern fsk radios provide uGPS power. Just connect the radio and box together and turn on uGPS power in the radio. Use whatever cable cambium recommends for a uGPS probably just a 6p6c straight through cable, although it might make sense to skip the factory reset pin.
