[android-developers] Alarm Manager and work manager are unable to show reminders correctly
Subject: alarmManager and work manager are unable to show reminders correctly Issue with alarmManager and work manager Reminders are missing randomanly and mutiple reminders are comming for particular session, we have used alarm manager and workmanager for populating the reminder. Description: we are developing a healthcare app where we need to populate the alarm notification at a specific time like in the morning, afternoon, evening, night. case 1 : Missed Reminders when the app is in deep sleep mode or in the idle state we are not getting reminder on all version of andorid till android version R. case 2 : Mulitple reminders are coming when the device is actice during that time we are facing multiple reminders. For alarms we are using. 1. Room Database for storing the alarm time. 2. Alarm manager's setExactAndAllowWhileIdle() method we are using for setting the alarm. 3. Broadcast reciever for getting the pending intent and showing the alarm notification. 4. Workmanager we are using to set alarms in the background. if anyone can help us out how can we populate alarm notification at particular time, doesn't matter if mobile is in deep state or idle. we have gone through with mutilple solution for it but it seems to us nothing is working properly. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group. Re: [android-developers] How to transfer ownership and private keys of an existing mobile app in Google Play Store from one developer account to another
TreKing, Thanks. For some reason, I thought that if we followed Google process to transfer the android app package name to our app store account (i.e from company A to company B), we could use different private keys to sign the mobile app. I say that because I thought that Android uses the package name as the unique identifier to decide if a mobile app being downloaded will be installed as a new mobile app or would update an existing mobile app already installed on the mobile device. [android-developers] How to transfer ownership and private keys of an existing mobile app in Google Play Store from one developer account to another
We have an Android mobile application already published in Google Play store under a developer account belonging to company A. Company A holds many smaller companies like B, C, D and so on. All companies B, C, D ...had to go through app store subscription of A to publish their mobile apps into the app store using folks working for company A. Now, company B has gone public and needs to transfer ownership of its mobile application from company A to B. The other question I have is for users of the mobile app to be able to continue updating their existing mobile apps after the transfer is complete, would we need to ask company A to send over the private keys used to sign the Android app to company B employees? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group. Re: [android-developers] Re: Source not found, but I've given a source?
let me ask you are you using proxy connection ? if you are using then you have to include proxy connection class even though you may check your program including the http url which does not require proxy. On 8/2/12, soynerdito soynerdito soynerd...@gmail.com wrote: Source not found normally means that the build version of the app is not exactly the same as the one being debugged. So first of all, do a project Clean. Delete your bin and gen folders. Then build your app and make sure it is building without errors. You may (but not normally required) to uninstall the app from the device and run again. All is to make sure that the app building at that moment is the one that is running on the device. A quick background, I started developing an app for the Android about 3-4 months ago, off and on. It is a project I received from my college teacher for a sort of internship. I have to take a peice of text, inputted by the user, attach it to the a url address, and then access the website, retrieve the xml, parse it, and then display 3 peices of the code in separate textviews. Currently, I've separated the text input screen from the screen which displays the parsed data sections. However, I'm currently completely stuck trying to access the website and retrieve the xml. The debug simply says Source not found. and gives me an option to Edit Source Lookup Path. However, I've got the program already directed to the Source location. Currently, this is my code for attempting to access the website : public class Price_PageActivity extends Activity { public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.price_page); HttpURLConnection con = null; URL url1; InputStream is=null; Intent intent = getIntent(); String urlextra = intent.getStringExtra(android.grabber.string); try { url1 = new URL((http://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/overview?symbol=; + urlextra )); con = (HttpURLConnection) url1.openConnection(); // con.setReadTimeout(1 /* milliseconds */); // con.setConnectTimeout(15000 /* milliseconds */); con.setRequestMethod(GET); con.setDoInput(true); con.connect(); is = con.getInputStream(); BufferedReader rd = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(is), 4096); String line; StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); while ((line = rd.readLine()) != null) { sb.append(line); } rd.close(); String streamcontent = sb.toString(); TextView Text = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.TextView02); Text.setText(streamcontent); } catch (IOException e) { //handle the exception ! e.printStackTrace(); } If any more information is required, I will try my best to provide it. Like in Hierarchy viewer. This is strictly for debugging purposes. I will use this to study the accessibility of different android resources. Any help on this is highly appreciated. [android-developers] possible enhancement of Android SDK-NDK integration?
Dear community, I was browsing through the Android NDK info on the Android developers website, and found that currently only NDK ACTIVITY components can be invoked from SDK components. I an curious to know whether adding the capability to NDK Services and Content Providers to be invoked from the Java components, would be a good project idea. The questions that crop up are: 1. Is there any inherent property of the SDK/NDK that prevents Services to be accessed in this way? 2. Is anyone/any group already working on this feature? The intention is to provide cross-language RMI, something that middleware such as CORBA support inherently. [android-developers] Weird issue with SurfaceView
Hi, I have a peculiar problem in my app which uses a SurfaceView. After I create the SurfaceView and launch another activity or switch to another activity and return to my SurfaceView, the Menu options or the AlertDialogs are NOT visible! But, it appears as though I am only not able to see the UI. If I tap on a location, where the menu is displayed or the AlertDialog options were displayed, it still does the actions expected!! It seems like the AlertDialog is displayed, but I am just not able to see it!! Anyone has a clue? Thanks! This crash can be reproduced when you type more than 80 characters in URL (no spaces and no commas). This doesnt happen in emulator. When you load http://aac.jetcitylounge.groovera.com/; on ur desktop browser you can see it fetches a page with URL more than 80 characters. So i guess its not a bug in Http error codes.
