Not that I'm aware of.I'll need to grab the game and take a look at it.  I don't think you're supposed to translate the variable names, just the text that they refer to.And, what you will be doing is phonetically rendering Chinese with the English character set.  At least, that's my best guess as to how to get this into something like a very very alpha state of playability.  I think the ini file tells you what you can safely modify and what you should leave alone?  I'll look at that here and report back once I've done some messing around with things.

Ok,so what I'd recommend is to try to use the English character set to phonetically render the Chinese sounds you are trying to have the TTS read.  Granted, it won't have the proper accent, but it'll work as a very kinda cludgy solution.Also, when you are talking about the code, do you mean the game's actual source code, or are you talking about the configuration file for the text and pronunciation of that text?  Since this is an ini file, it is an Ascii text file.  This could be why you are not able to use any special characters or those that do not exist in the Ascii table, such as those for Chinese.Hope this helps.

I have a problem translating Braillemon.

I like Pokemon very much, so I'm playing Braillemon, but I can't speak English, so I want to translate Braillemon into Chinese, but I'm generally able to read normal text aloud during the translation process, and in text with program variables, my translation becomes garbled, and text with any variable becomes garbled when read aloud by tts, for example:newgame2 = Right! So your name is &000! This is my grandson. He has been your rival since you were a baby.newgame4 = That right! I remember now! His name is &001, I almost forgot! If you mean the first part wear you have to deliver the parcel, go to Varidian City and buy some Pokeballs if you want. I'd say catch at least one more Pokemon for your team, then go to Varidian Forest. Varidian Forest is how you get to the next gym. Remember, you'll have to switch your save file a lot between the two versions if you're planning to play this game. Right, I figured it out. Note: do! Not! Leave multiple Pokemon at the daycare center or you'll get a code error.1: leave a Pokemon at the daycare center (this being the one you want to breed.2: go someware else then come back.3: after walking, talk to the person. He will give you a Pokemon egg.4: keep walking, and eventually the egg will hatch. Or at least I think that's what will happen...OK, after experimenting, it seems like either this feature is bugged or it doesn't work. I heard that you can breed Pokemon in this game. If you can, how do you do it? According to google, it says you need to find a Ditto and leave it with the Pokemon you want to breed at the daycare center. Ditto isn't even in the pokedex yet so I don't know wear to find it, and when I drop off the Pokemon I want to breed at the daycare center it says:(name of Pokemon) is doing fine.

Hmm, One thing which I would like to see is we can move our mons in the battle up down, left right. When we press space, we are able to select an attack. As for flying Pokemons, page up and down keys should be able to take them up and down. I think that will be needing a lot of experience although I am fine with this style too, that was only my suggestion if its possible...

The game is really not stable at all, its just that the "stable" version is *more stable*. I built it when i was really inexperienced with code. I haven't found the source code but I will upload it to my site if I can find it. The crobar? I think you're getting Pokemon and Manamon confused. In Manamon, you use the crobar to move loggs. In Pokemon, you have to teach one of them a move called Strength, which is used to push boulders.

@boy, you can complete the whole game.and, i hate the bugs in this game, i wish that this game would have been completed.except catching all of 251 pokes, you can do almost everything in the game, wish i could catch mu after completing the game, but, the only way i caught it was by triggering the random mode, and until i got it as a starter, i kept reloading and exiting, it was very annoying to do that, at least for me.

Victory Road can be completed normally on the test version, which is called 1400 old version if you downloaded the .zip file that I posted. If you're on the stable version, move your save to the unstable or test version, then complete victory road. After that, you can go back to the stable version. In my opinion, the test version has less bugs than the stable version.

There's a hole in Silph Co HQ that leads nowhere, so don't fall into it.In Viridian stadium, I believe you need to approach Giovanni from a certain direction. If you choose the wrong one, code error.After getting to the place where you need to show the keys to progress, the game will say "road 8".When you get there, never save the game!The game will say that it was saved, but after reloading it, you will be in a building either with no exit or an inaccessible one.The only think you can do to save your progress from that point on, is to somehow go through the ascendance path without saving at all, then fly back somewhere and save the game there.If a marowak appears, either run away or kill it as fast as possible. If it uses torment, you're screwed. A code error will pop up and you have to start over.And worse, if you saved the game despite my caution, you will need to start the game from the beginning unles you backed up the save files.During a sandstorm, when you kill a monster, never opt to switch your monster! Otherwise, a code error will ruin your day.The house where, in sighted games, you're supposed to get a tm for a pokedoll, whoever you approach, gives nothing more than a code error.Other crashes can happen randomly, so in truth, it's not a stable build at all.

Thought the only thing not working was HM Strength to move a boulder in the way. But, getting past it in an older version where HM Strength works and then going back to last version would let you finish, iirc.

Yes, the test version works for the sinabar gym. Now, I managed to make it to victory road. Every time I encounter a certain type of Pokemon, the game gives me a code error. It also doesn't say what Pokemon it is, just displays the error message as soon as the song starts playing. It only happens with that one Pokemon, not all of them. I was able to move the first boulder on to one of the pressure plates, but couldn't move the second one because that's when the error happened. Also, are you supposed to only be able to complete Victory Road in the test version? In the stable version, you get a code error when getting passed one of the gates, and if you save wear the gates are and reload you end up on a map that plays the wall sound constantly and doesn't let you move or do anything, just waits.

@1963, this  can't be made like the manamon game since it's written in another language, and manamon can't be imported in it because it's theme is actually pokemon, not manamon.I'd actually love if people will stop including manamon and being all manamon around when talking about pokemon games. I agree when people compare these two, but these are two different things alltogether. Before saying that the game isn't bad and jumping dirrectly to  maibe put manamon in it? Try getting some pokemon documentation or play some pokemon games in the first place.The sounds aren't bad, either, and if I remember many are from the original pokemon red and blue game, so no sense in complaining, please. I actually appreciate the dev a lot for making this and giving us the oportunity to play a pokemon game like the original. @Stasp - I'll try to find the source code and slap it on my website but its from an old version of game maker so I can't make any guarantees. Yeah I know it sucks but I think I might have something in my old dropbox folder in one of my backup folders or something.BTW I would recommend anyone who wants to ask me directly questions about braillemon to just DM me on Twitter (https://twitter.com/realGuattari) someone hit me up there and it made me realize its a way better way to get in contact with me. I do NOT update the game anymore and I dont even know where the source code is as I write this but I'll make a genuine effort to look for it at least for archival's sake. @daigonite couldn't you open source that project?Its death anyways and i was thinging of modding it and making sort of pokemon essentials but for blind people outoff it so you can make your own pokemon styled games.I thing it wouldn't work out really well since bm is build using gamemaker studio which as far as i know is inaccessible, unless the thing builds some kind of text files/human readable code we could edit.

Hey sorry for not responding. I know Gaki probably won't see this but that is some sort of issue with your operating system. MSVCP100.dll is a debugging library because the TTS engine that braillemon uses needs it because it was compiled as debug and I didn't know how to fix it. LOL. but yeah.I don't have the source code for that so I couldn't fix it, but maybe see if you can find a version of the DLL that works (and maybe the others). I'm pretty sure I Was still able to play braillemon so it might be a setting issue.Also, there is no problem in reviving an old game thread to try to address some issue in the game. I have discontinued development though since 2016 and I'm aware that its not a very good game, it was my first game ever. But hey, its a free pokemon game if you can get it working lol.I'm going to be uploading these onto a blog I'm building out so there is a permanent link instead of relying on my ancient dropbox account. I'm going to try to get the EXE's working in windows 10 and if that works I'll upload em.

Braillemon is a version of Pokemon for the blind and visually impaired. If you don't know what Pokemon is, then look it up. This  is an audio version of the first two Pokemon games. If you're talking about the version that I put up on Dropbox, the folder with Old Version in parenthesis is the test version and the stable version is 1400. There is also a guide for the sighted versions that I put in the package, which should help people who have never played Pokemon before. I started a new save file, and am now at the Team Rocket Hideout. Well, it's not completely new, it's one that I was using before. Either way, ware do I go after getting the lift key? It seems like the elevator on floor 1 is impossible to find, and so is the bosses room on floor 3. The guide says to go to B 4, but there doesn't seem to be a B 4.

you can get it at rocket hideout in seledon game corner. move your save to your test version and navigate the teleporters. you can catch a volterb and it wil transform in to electrode. it get's spark check with the move learner. also teach it self destruct. very good if you have revives and your aponents are at lo health.

You'll still have to move your save, since there's one part in the test version ware if you go to the SS Ana or whatever it is and enter the captain's room, you'll get an error. Water starter, I'll have to play with that one. I've allways liked Bulbasaur do to it's ability to learn some status moves and strong attacks. You can also teach it Cut, which is necissary. Honestly, i was really amused with the built in randomizer that was in one of these. It's kind of terrifying how powerful gymleaders are and other major fights as the randomized pokemon tends to have tm's taught to it. Seeing brock with an lv 13 Lugia using thunder was fun.

You can't use Cut yet, you have to go to one of the houses that has a back door. Check the guide for the sighted Pokemon games, that should help. Leave the house, beat the rocket and go to the next town from their.

Hello,    I just downloaded the game and everything seems to be working for me except that I can’t move my character. All the hot keys work, but when I use my arrow keys my character doesn’t move. Does anyone know why this is or how to fix it?

How do you complete the Safari Zone? I followed the instructions on a text guide and two websites, but niether of them make sense. One says to go northeast after entering area 1, and when I do that I just bump into walls. I somehow managed to get to area 3 from area 2 and the entrance, and even though the object menu says the special house is there, it's not.

It's not even close to being done, and I still have to beat the game. However, the beginning is complete. It only goes up to the first gym then ends, but it will eventually be completed. I still have work, college, Objectives and The Blank Game 2 to complete first. Work is obviously the first thing to do and I haven't started college yet, but I also have to finish The Blank Game 2 and get 1.0 out for people, if I could only figure out how to make the post game work correctly!

Sorry for bringing this topic back, but I found out how you can catch Staryu and Slowpoke! Surf south of Pallet Town, and you'll find both of them. Now I can finally finish the guide for Braillemon! Well, that's if I can figure out how to catch Zapdos. Should I use the same strategy I used for mythicles in Manamon?

Depending on what you're doing, you need to copy your save sometimes. For example, say you're playing 1400. Since I've never gotten this far, I don't know if this actually happens, but I heard this does. You're in front of the Sinabar gym You save your game, enter the gym and get a code error. You copy your save to the old version, beat the gym, save outside of it and move your save back to 1400.

I didn't catch Starmi, but I know you can catch it using the super rod. When I beat LT Surge in my previous game, he gave me the TM for Thunder Punch. Also, their's a website that lists what moves each Pokemon gets, and it says that Pikachu gets Thunderbolt at level 26.

it gets thunder punch, which is a good attack, but when you beet l.t serge, he will give you thunder bolt, which is lot better than thunder punch.later on in this game, you will pick up a tm called thunder, which has 120 bass power, zap doze uses it very effectively.and, more later on, you will pick up another tm which is zap cannon, which has also 120 bass power, but has an accuressy of 50, but the advantage of this move is that it will always  paralyze the aponent when it hits.

OK, I've just started a new game and am thinking of trying either Starmi or Slowpoke, to have both water and psychic in one Pokemon. So far, I have Nidorina, Pidgeotto, Ivasaur and Pikachu. Also, one of the websites I saw says that Pikachu gets Thunder Bolt. Does it, or is it just Thundershock? One of the audio playthroughs of Pokemon red or Blue on Youtube says that Thunder Bolt has like 95 power and 100 accuracy, wich seems like it will be good for flying and water types.
