salut,

quel wm/desktop utilises tu ?

solution:
tu lances un terminal, voilà qqs exemples:
Eterm -O0xqC --buttonbar 0 --scrollbar 0 --no-cursor -f green --exec
/usr/bin/tail -f /var/log/syslog
Eterm --geometry 78x25+300+0 --trans=true --borderless --scrollbar=false
--buttonbar=false -f grey -c black --font-fx=shadow #33 --exec
/usr/bin/tail -f /var/log/syslog
Eterm --geometry 78x25+300+0 --buttonbar 0 --scrollbar 0 --no-cursor -f
grey -c black --font-fx=shadow #33 --exec /usr/bin/tail -f

Si je me souviens bien

installes ccze :
tail -f /var/log/syslog | ccze

Voilà...t'as de quoi t'occuper.

Re: Outils de post installation

2011-06-08 Thread Guy Roussin

Bonjour,

(voir
http://sierrawireless.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/500).

root@trafic:~# modinfo sierra | head
filename:
/lib/modules/2.6.32-5-686/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/sierra.ko
license:GPL
version:v.1.7.40
description:USB Driver for Sierra Wireless USB modems
author: Kevin Lloyd, Elina Pasheva, Matthew Safar, Rory Filer
srcversion: 256C6DB7BBF633BECA3C465

Jun 8 17:14:03 trafic pppd[1818]: pppd 2.4.5 started by root, uid 0
Jun 8 17:14:03 trafic pppd[1818]: Using interface ppp0
Jun 8 17:14:03 trafic pppd[1818]: Connect: ppp0 -- /dev/ttyUSB3
Jun 8 17:14:03 trafic pppd[1818]: CHAP authentication succeeded
Jun 8 17:14:03 trafic pppd[1818]: CHAP authentication succeeded
Jun 8 17:14:04 trafic pppd[1818]: Modem hangup
Jun 8 17:14:04 trafic pppd[1818]: Connection terminated.
Jun 8 17:14:04 trafic pppd[1818]: Exit.

l'interpolation).

configurar directorio local apache

2011-06-08 Thread yordanisp

Saludos amigos listeros.

http://ftp.cc.uoc.gr/

http://mepis.mirror.garr.it/

Apache/2.2.16 (Debian) Server at mi servidor Port 80

Agradecido a todos de antemano.

Re: configurar directorio local apache

# aptitude install likewise-open likewise-open-gui likewise-open5
likewise-open5-eventlog likewise-open5-gui likewise-open5-libs
likewise-open5-lsass likewise-open5-netlogon likewise-open5-rpc

supersede domain-name ce.vc.rimed.cu;
prepend domain-name-servers 120.10.0.2,120.10.0.1;

forma:

# domainjoin-cli join TUDOMINIO TUADMINDEDOMINIO

Entras a

Saludos cordiales!!

(1)
http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-user-spanish@lists.debian.org/msg194903.html
(2) Ejecutar:
 udevadm monitor
 udevadm info -a -p $(udevadm info -q path -n /dev/ttyACM0)

klassiskt Gmail.

Klicka på lower selection to bottom i tredje verktygsraden.

Spara och/eller exportera till bitmap. Klart.

Klicka på lower selection to bottom i tredje verktygsraden.

Spara och/eller exportera till bitmap. Klart.

e adicionar entradas no aliases.

Hi,

You might want to try the following:
- Disabling the CD-ROM as an apt source by commenting them out (add a # sign
before deb cdrom...)
- Changing your mirror to the Debian CDN -
http://cdn.debian.net/debian(that is, replace
http://mirror.kernel.org/debian with http://cdn.debian.net/debian)

After doing that, try updating manually again.

I'm still using the stock firmware on a WRT54GL and it allows me to

Yes, this feature is quite common in my experience (though I lost the

This makes no sense to me. Using static IPs doesn't involve your
router. Use them or not, it won't care (or know).

If your router supports assigning a specific IP per MAC and, possibly
even DNS names, then you have all your configuration centralised ;)

Ok, for accessing other computers on the lan by name I now use mDNS, and
even if my VDSL modem lost the ability to assign specific IPs, at least
it uses the same IP for the same MAC, so it is possible to configure the
port forwarding.

Even if it works, I still don't like to rely on all that fully automatic
configuration, so I'm looking forward to buying a new wireless router
(with Gigabit and wireless N, I already have a classic one) that
supports DD-WRT (or similar).

OK, You've been allocated a /29, this is 8 public IPs. As you note
above, the first IP is the network address (.88), and the last is the
broadcast address (.95). Other than this, the ISP expects your router to
be on the second IP (.89). This is typical, and is similar to what my
ISP gives me.

So, what I would suggest you do is configure your machine as follows:

 iface eth0 inet static
address 41.134.19.{90-94} # Pick one of your five free IPs
netmask 255.255.255.248
network 41.134.19.88
broadcast 41.134.19.95
gateway 41.134.19.89

Next, and this is quite important, configure your router into Multi-IP
mode. Most broadband routers expect you to have one IP and so will NAT
anything that comes in. You will need to tell your router to pass
through all traffic for your /29 block. How you do this depends on your
router.

all shiny surfaces I have tried it on (except the laptop screen itself),

receiver is really tiny.
I used to be an anti cordless, because of battery consumption,

For my desktops I use exclusively trackball/trackman pointing devices,
my current is cordless, optical (the sensor reads the movements of the

work. As a bonus it saved me from carpal canal surgery. Now I can't work
for a long period with anything else. The single battery lasts for a
really long time (over a year).

Those devices are all Linux friendly, and work out of the box (including
buttons) on my Linux's (Debian, Kubuntu, Fedora).

used to touch the desk. The grippiness/stickiness of the ball used to
give better single pixel movement control for things like graphics.
Pushing down on an optical mouse does not allow you to restrict movement
the way pushing down on an optical mouse does, as the friction in an
optical mouse comes from my hand contacting the desk and the little pads
on the base of the mouse - as opposed to the friction generated by the
device that actually measures movement.

It matters little whether it's a ball, or optics for most desktop
applications - except graphics. Where the optical mouse truly excels is
when I want to use an external mouse with laptops - works fine on the
arm of a chair or my leg.

As for wireless mice - I believe the lag of the early models has been
reduced, and I don't see how the weight of something I slide, but never
lift, would bother me. I don't use one because I'm cheap. ;-p

Cheers

Have you read the SolarWind Debian documentation?
You can get it here:-

It is my first time to use a public IP on the private network

I would first ask your provider to check if it is possible to have the
configuration you want with the service they provide. You have to be
sure those IPs are properly routed to your gateway facility (your
modem/ router) with no restrictions (I mean, that all ports are
unfiltered/ opened and the gateway facility is completely manegeable by
 you, not your ISP).

Alright! before send them a mail, i want to be sure that the
configuration that I was doing are correct? Because really I'm
 confusing now!

I can't tell if your setup is okay because I would need more data of your
networking layout and what hardware components are involved.

But basically what you need to tell your ISP is the same you are telling
us, i.e., that you want to setup a DNS and web server over your assigned
range of IPs. They will tell you what to do or in the event they directly
manage the Cisco router, they'll open the required ports to redirect the
traffic to your gateway.

You provide it an answer (or point to use DHCP).

Yes, but -if I understood you correctly- your question was how to this
automatically, right? That is, with no user intervention and no
variable preset on the preseeding file. So I wondered how could the
installer fill the hostname variable by directly reading it from the
current installed system(s).

Or did you look for something else?

When I ping for e.g 41.134.19.90 host, the destination is unreachable.

I already contact them to configure the router from their are side

I read all posts in this thread and saw that nobody actually asked one
 very important question:
What routing setup you've got on the router/gateway.

in your case I would use following setup

 - --router (with pool of your ext. IP's and port/IP forwarding)--servers
(in LAN with IP's from one of restricted ranges ex 192.168.0.0/24)

so traffic into you web server could looks like

 - --41.134.19.89:80--192.168.0.23:80

it just depends from you what rules you'll going to set up
