[Bug 469116] Re: Error in Sudoku time keeping.
quote Why do you open a bug if you know it's a duplicate? /quote Last time I had a similar error message I did not have the presence of mind to keep the 'elapsed time' message on screen. I just cleared the dialogue and went to Help - report a bug. I realised later that the collected information may have been deficient in something useful, like the source of the cleared error message. This time I ran ubuntu-bug (help is not available with the dialogue box open) while the error box was still live. Ubuntu-bug did not pick up the duplicate, and I did not want to lose any of the evidence - so I went along with it and opened the new bug. But I tried to do it helpfully If the evidence I have managed to collect is no more useful than that already available, then this bug can be closed as a duplicate with nothing to add. -- Error in Sudoku time keeping. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/469116 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-games in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 372089] Re: Evolution mail dont save password keeps asking
I came across this http://davestechsupport.com/blog/2009/01/16/how-to-remove-ubuntus- password-keyring/ which babbles on about the computer asking for a password to unlock the keyring when it started up. Not quite what we have been experiencing, but it is still related to passwords and the keyring. Any way, it tells you how to delete the keyring and then goes on to tell you to restart and when asked for a password for the keyring to leave it blank. I can remember that I left the password blank with the fresh install of 9.10, which still isn't asking for passwords (yet). If this doesn't work couldn't you just uninstall the keyring? -- Evolution mail dont save password keeps asking https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/372089 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 469694] [NEW] Empathy Will not add Accounts
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy I just upgraded to Ubuntu Karmic Koala, and I cannot get Empathy to save my account settings. I have tried using the Import from Pidgin wizard which has my accounts setup and is working fine. I have also tried adding the accounts manually. But when I click on Connect, it does nothing, and when I use the Welcome to Empathy wizard with the Yes, I'll enter my account details now option, I enter the information and it says The Supplied CM parameters were not valid. and if you hit the back button it just produces more back buttons on the dialog (see attached picture). I am really wondering why the Ubuntu developers scrapped Pidgin for Empathy. I'm finding Empathy to be completely unusable. The only thing I'm seeing it has over Pidgin is Audio/Video chat. [Bug 466389] Re: totem hangs when try to play DVD
I investigate the problem in some more details and found that it is happen only when I try play DVD-Video without menus. If I play DVD-Video with menus it is shown perfectly. [Bug 469089] [NEW] Apparmor configuration renders evince (and others tools) unusable under Karmic
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: evince After doing basic Karmic upgrade from jaunty on amd64 (MacBookPro 3,1) I am unable to use evince correctly. Fonts can not be rendered correctly, and thus menus are completely unreadable (fonts are rendered as small empty square, see attachment) and PDF file content are not rendered at all. It seems that some others tools (Firefox for instance) get also troubles with font rendering (I am however not able to give a simple example yet). I am able to fix the problem when stopping completely apparmor (/etc/init.d/apparmor stop). The problem should thus come from apparmor profile. Since I am not aware of how it works I file this bug so that others people may fix it. It seems I am not the only one to get the trouble : http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=8215308. Bugs 452057 and 423687 seem very near to this one but are not the same, since they have been fixed before karmic release, and the one I described is not. [Bug 469761] [NEW] system fails to start with dvb driver activated ~ bulk message failed
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: yelp I have an AV LABS USB Digital TV Tuner which works well on XP. It worked OK on Kaffeine on an Alpha version of Karmic. Then after updates the system locked up on start with the message bulk messages failed. Then on the finished distro of 9.10, all was well until I activated the DVB Driver. Back to bulk messages failed. I've reinstalled Karmic, and am wondering when it will be safe to activate the DVB Driver? I get no response from TVTIME,it reports no source found. I'm a 67 year old newbie, enjoying seeing Ubuntu progress. Sorry if this is a nuisance. [Bug 469601] Re: no thumbnails are generated in nautilus for OGV files (theora + vorbis)
file is reporting Ogg data, Skeleton v3.0 BUT Right now, same files moved to other directory triggered thumbnails. SO it's not a issue with all OGV files, but is somehow specific to particular cases. I will try to discover the difference and will update this report. In mean time, this can be putted to wait state.
