Yes, for some reason the URL felt under the war Google is having with our beloved GEMA. Google refuses to pay the royalties GEMA asks for. To see how ridiculous the whole situation is, even schools had to search for GEMA free songs for their children to sing, given how GEMA handles the whole royalties situation.

Like me, I tried my best to stay up after 1.30am to watch Andrei and Walter get peppered with questions, but since I left university, my ability to stay up (unaided by alcohol at least) is well gone.

If you use a Google hangout on air with a laptop that is pointing at the presenter, I don't see much extra cost, except perhaps the cost of the bandwidth(free?). You probably even put a link on the dlang website that opens the hangout, with a different hangout for each session. If you are wanting to delay access to the videos you would have to go onto your youtube channel and make the videos private after the live streaming. If memory serves last time one video was released per week, meaning that reddit/hn readers could properly digest and discuss them in turn. You'll have to assume that someone will rip the livestream and publish it all the very same day.

I'll definitely watch it all later at my own pace whether livestreamed or not. What I would hate is for livestreaming to be the only opportunity to watch it online.
