There are no unique stream id's.
They do store the video feed for later playback.

My channel is: https://www.livecoding.tv/alphaglosined/
You would normally just go there and watch.

There is also a stream schedule to advertise streams.

I'm sure if given a few days, they can hook us up with e.g. access to
the XMPP server (chat backend) and things like that. Just for future
thought.

Yes, for some reason the URL felt under the war Google is having 
with our beloved GEMA.


Google refuses to pay the royalties GEMA asks for.

To see how ridiculous the whole situation is, even schools had to 
search for GEMA free songs for their children to sing, given how 
GEMA handles the whole royalties situation.

Like me, I tried my best to stay up after 1.30am to watch Andrei 
and Walter get peppered with questions, but since I left

I don't think it's certain yet, but here's what the MC James 
Pearce said in the chat yesterday:


to those asking about videos, we'll have them all up on YouTube 
as promptly as possible (24-48 hours, hopefully)


So if they can stick to that, there's no reason to livestream 
unless you really want to see it first. :)

I don't think I follow. The conference starts at 9 AM and ends at 4:30
PM in San Francisco time. Converted to GMT this is 4 PM to 11:30 PM.
That should be super-convenient for most Europeans.

If you use a Google hangout on air with a laptop that is pointing at the
presenter, I don't see much extra cost, except perhaps the cost of the
bandwidth(free?).

You probably even put a link on the dlang website that opens the hangout,
with a different hangout for each session. If you are wanting to delay
access to the videos you would have to go onto your youtube channel and
make the videos private after the live streaming.

This is an interesting point. If memory serves last time one 
video was released per week, meaning that reddit/hn readers could 
properly digest and discuss them in turn.


You'll have to assume that someone will rip the livestream and

I'm interested but probably wouldn't be able to catch it all live due to 
work schedule. I'll definitely watch it all later at my own pace whether 
livestreamed or not. What I would hate is for livestreaming to be the
