Are you sure your interface hardware is good, i.e. does the radio work with any other software? You should pick a FIXED baud rate in the radio (not AUTO), and turn Transceive OFF. Re: [Dx4win] (no subject) [ IC-775 DSP CAT Following ]
For Bill Murrell SERR, My IC-775 DSP follows CAT very reliably with my Windows 10 laptop (Toshiba Satellite). Download IC-775 DSP User Manual from Icom and follow Ch 5 SET MODE instructions. Push SET button and hold 2 seconds to select H-set mode. Next, press Up/Down button to get "Ci -baud" and rotate Tuning Wheel to get 1200 value. Press Up/Down to get "Ci -Addr" and rotate Tuning Wheel to get 46h. Press SET again to return to main frequency window display. In DX4WIN, select File, Preferences, and Radio tab. Choose ICOM 775, Address 46, Baud Rate 1200. Check mark in Default box. Check your computer's Windows Device Manager and choose available Com port. Check marks in DTR and RTS boxes. Click File, Save, and Exit. Restart DX4WIN and confirm if CAT following. Let me know if successful. My personal email is OK for questions or follow-up. Re: [Dx4win] (no subject) VFO A/B Flash
I think this is an ICOM software (CI-V?) issue. DXlab does it to an IC756 also at the club station. I have never had it happen with my Kenwood. Seems to be a command that connects the ICOM radio to the software causes things to switch to the sub-VFO for a couple seconds and then back. With a SteppIR hooked up and the alternate VFO on a different freq/band, the controller starts changing the antenna and then reverses and changes back when main VFO comes back. If I sign out of the reflector so that the emails are stopped, can I still go to the website support area to look at all the refledtor messages? You might also consider learning how to set up filters in your E-mail client. That way all incoming DX4WIN messages can be filed into a separate folder, and won't distract you from important messages in your inbox. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

??? Make sure the first line in DX4Win.TCP is LOCALCC User,localhost:7300 OR LOCALCC User,127.0.0.1:7300 Assuming you haven't changed the port number in AR Cluster. Re: [Dx4win] Same subject as the last one, but with the info I'm using
If you have the latest TCP file from: http://dx4win.ad1c.us/cluster/ That Local line is already there, it's about the 4th one down. In DX4WIN 8.x, if you double-click on an entry further down the list, it will be moved to the top for next time. 73 - Jim AD1C On Thu, Aug 6, 2009 at 3:08 PM, Karl Oysterk...@cox.net wrote: Sorry 'bout thatold age, don't you know. Re: [Dx4win] (no subject)
What I would really like to see is a way for the user to modify tables such as Mode and QSL method. This would free Paul of having to issue an update every time a new mode is developed. Re: [Dx4win] (no subject)
I'm sure there are many ways to do this, but when I use an alternate method, I'll typically use the Other option and either put a note in the Notes for this QSO or sometimes put the additional info in the QSL manager field (if it's very short; that field has a pretty limited length). However, it would be nice to have website and email as options in the dropdown, with possibly a dedicated field for those that gets remember on a per-callsign basis (like the manager info).
