Just downloaded the demo, it took quite a long while on its first startup (MacBook Pro with Os 10.8.5) but when relaunched it opened quite quickly. Well, the first time I clicked on the link it took me to a page where I had to log in, and then to an upgrade for Finale 2012. I exited that, returned to the e-mail and clicked the link again. This second try gave me the 2014 upgrade page without logging in again, and I am now downloading a zipped 2014, slowly. When I start Finale I get: Finale's Audio Engine failed to load. Please restart Finale. Error code 7 Audio Output source was Primary Sound Driver. I changed it to Realtek HD Audio output and restarted Finale. Same error message. When I try to playback anything the cursor appears at the start of the line then stops. That I don't know and wouldn't know how to find out. I do know that they work with every other bit of software I have on here. I've never had any problems with previous updates or demo versions, or with anything else for that matter. It's a bit of a worry if no-one else is having this trouble. It’s probably too early to say no one else is, and these types of things I like to try and button up as fast as possible. Were you able to get in touch with support? They can get some diagnostics from your PC, and usually those help track these things down.
