If this problem is caused by my contorted kludge for system- tetex, I'll try to find some other solution. Jagannath: g77 is not available on intel. Try g95 instead ('fink
install g95').

If it isn't, please rebuild gmt and save the output of the build. There's probably and error in there somewhere. Also, make sure the $GMTHOME environment variable is NOT set in your environment. It turns out that this has nothing to do with ipython. If I run the
python2.3 behind this ipython and issue a few commands relating to the

Claus: I can confirm this behavior - word attachments do not open, and pine may crash when viewing an HTML attachment. I still use my .mailcap to open attachments, that works like it always has. Fink Commander reports ImageMagick to be 5.5.6-1 and perlmagick-pm to be 5.5.4-2
although perlmagick-pm560 is apparently 5.5.4-3.
Running the example script...

$image-Set('size'='100x100');
$image-ReadImage('xc:white');
$image-Set('pixel[49,49]'='red');
$image-Write('filename'='./abc.gif');
results in no errors and no output.
The same thing with a Draw command instead of a Set pixel command causes an
exception with 'No image defined'?
Any clues?
Andy: I updated the perlmagick-pm560 package in unstable to 5.5.6 and now
your example script works fine.
Unfortunately, the ImageMagick folks like to change their API about every
release.

Daniel: The meta key does work if you run lyx inside a vnc session (for both the lyx bindings and the xforms UI elements). To try it, install the vnc package, start a vncserver and connect to it using a vncviewer (http://cotvnc.sf.net is a good one). Certainly slower the Apple X11, but it works. I have noticed that '/sw/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib' has been installed via fink, and this library seems to provide what 'display' looks for. But the error message complains about the library in /usr/X11R6/lib instead of the one in /sw/lib. % otool -L /sw/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib /sw/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib: /sw/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib (compatibility version 10.0.0, current version 10.0.0) What can I do to make Imagemagick work on my system?
