I was wondering if anyone knew of a good baseball game
simulator? I've playede Jim Kitchen's and it's great.
I was wondering if there are any others out there?
Even an online simulation game would do.

 Thanks for the help,

I like the sound when the character in tecno shock sleeps. It's a

Re: [Audyssey] Rail Racer is live!

2007-06-21 Thread Josh
Davy, here's what to do. Do you have $35 or so in cash in your pocket? if
so, then head on over to one of the stores in your area and ask them for a
pre-paid visa or pre-paid pre-loaded rechargeable credit card. They just
came out with these and what you do is it's kind of like a money order I
guess. you give them the cash, and they put the cash on this card. but once
the money runs out, you just take it to the store again, put more cash on
it, and you're ready to go and use the card again. And as far as I know you
can only spend what money you put on the card.
See if that solution works for you.

Re: [Audyssey] a suggestion for jim's bop it game

2007-06-21 Thread damien c. sadler - head of x-sight interactive
i know, how about a bop it trilogy where you can choose what version of bop
it you want to play, as the sounds are all different and they all come with
different features.

if jim makes the bop it program so it can take ini files, you could disable
certain keys if you were playing an earlier version. for example:

presets.ini
[BopItOrig]
BopIt=Enabled
PullIt=Enabled
TwistIt=Enabled
SpinIt=Disabled
FlickIt=Disabled
SoundDir=classic
HighestScore=100
or something like that.

would that be possible?

[Audyssey] Games continue to crash

2007-06-21 Thread Orin listener
Hi all,

I had just been on the server just now and this game with datona has
been in the list for at least an hour now with nothing whatsoever
going on.

When you try and start a race, you're racer goes up on the rail with
that raising sound or whatever don't know what it is, and then
freezes. There's one guy in there who can't chat to me because of it
and I thought that he was away or something. When it does freeze
though you can't chat to anyone so whoever the person is might be
stuck...

I don't know how the games crash in the first place.

Hi,

Ok I think I might know h9ow to beat the two hardest difficulties. I want to
win them so i can make more money. I set the gear ratio to 0.6 and it seems
like I'm catching up to art when I do that. so maybe if I slowly up the gear
ratio until I can beat him but still have my accelleration be ok then I
should be good. I'll try playing with it and see what happens.

[Audyssey] Rale racer registering trouble

2007-06-21 Thread Dark
Hi.

I've just bought, downloaded and enstalled rale racer, however every time I try
and run the game, instead of showing the registration screen I get the message
signature is incorrect

I'm running the net framework 2.0, and in the E-mail I got from che I
understand that this can cause problems running the registration for the game
if your not also running net framework 1.1.

However, the last time I tried installing net framework 1.1 I ended up with the
most horrible system start up problems which made it nerely impossible for me
to use my Pc at all and I was only able to fix with a system restore.

At the time Thom ward said this was something to do with net Framework 1.1
creating a separate account on my pc, but sinse it was a hell! of a problem to
fix (as Hal wouldn't start up before windows did), I'd really rather not have
to do it again.

Is there any other way i can get rale racer to work?

Is there a registration program that I can run somewhere? -- perhaps in the
Rale racer folder which will save the need for the net framework?

any help would be much appreciated sinse I really don't! want to have to deal
with net framework 1.1 again if I can help it.

all the best,

Dark.

Re: [Audyssey] Rale racer registering trouble

2007-06-21 Thread Neo
Hi,
why don't you just download the demo version of Jaws or Win-eyes and set it
to start before you log into the system? That way you could easily install
.Framework 1.1, get around the logon screen with no trouble and then just
remove the .net framework accounts from the system?
It would reliably fix your issue, and you might have to do it in the end, as
I doubt there could be a way to work around the implemented RR licensing
system.

[Audyssey] Net framework 1.1 problem!

2007-06-21 Thread Dark
Hi.

well, I've installed net framework 1.1 and am having exactly the same problem I
had with the thing before. Namely, that during start up, on the blue screen
before even the windows chime sound, everything just sticks and the only way
around the problem is pressing ctrl alt delete then enter.

The good news is, that I have managed to register rale racer, however this
really is a pest (it takes absolutely ages to start my computer up), so I'll
have to do a system restore which will wipe out both net framework 1.1 and my
registration of rale racer.

does anyone have any suggestions?

(I believe Thom ward said it was something to do with user accounts, but as I
have no idea how these work, I'm stil fairly clueless).

thanks in advance,

Dark.

Re: [Audyssey] Net framework 1.1 problem!

2007-06-21 Thread Neo
If you've already managed to register RR, you shall be fine to uninstall the
1.1 version of the framework, at least this is what Che said: RR can run
fine with 2.0 or even 3.0, but the registration module needs 1.1 and none
other.
Just don't do a full system restore for such a little bothering issue. ;)

Re: [Audyssey] Rale racer registering trouble

2007-06-21 Thread Dark
Hi.

thanks a lot for the advice, however I'm afraid I'm now in a highly nasty
position.

I've uninstalled net framework 1.1, and keep getting the the signature is
invalid message when I attempt to run Rale racer (this did not happen with
the demo, so I don't know what is going on here).

Also, whatever Net Framework 1.1 does at start up is stil happening. I've
checked the user accounts in the control panel, and there doesn't seem to
be anything there that shouldn't be, sinse the only accounts are user
computer administrater and Guest account which seems to be off.

Has anyone got any other suggestions? unfortunately, sinse i find the start
up lag time caused by net framework 1.1 fr too much to be
reasonable, I'll probably have to do the system restore, and then wait for a
new, more streamlined registering process for rale racer before I'll be able
to play the game.

All the best,

Dark.

 Hi,
why don't you just download the demo version of Jaws or Win-eyes and set
 it
to start before you log into the system? That way you could easily
 install
.Framework 1.1, get around the logon screen with no trouble and then
 just
remove the .net framework accounts from the system?
It would reliably fix your issue, and you might have to do it in the
 end,
 as
I doubt there could be a way to work around the implemented RR licensing
 system.

ok. I installed the dotNet framework 1.1 and it gave me that dialog log-on
problem too. So i just went in and deleted the account that it created.
Also, if hal doesn't read the log on screen, you should just be able to
press enter and windows will start, or press tab once and enter, if that
doesn't work, try shift tab and enter.

Re: [Audyssey] Rale racer registering trouble

2007-06-21 Thread Josh
ok dark, Both jaws and window-eyes start up before the log-on screen starts
up. so then jaws and window-eyes are able to read the log on screen. this
has been in jaws and window eyes for some time now. To find user accounts
just go to user accounts, it's in control panel. start menu settings control
panel in classic view or just start menu control panel in the regular
windows mode. Then go to user accounts. then click the dotNet or the ask
dotnet framework account and delete it using the delete button which you'll
have to tab to. Jaws and window-eyes can display this account stuff in a
virtual window or in window-eyes browse mode so you can easily change and
modify your different user accounts.

Re: [Audyssey] Rale racer registering trouble

2007-06-21 Thread Josh
go get yourself a demo of jaws8 or the latest window-eyes, install it, if
window-eyes tell it to start before windows starts or start as a service the
start up options for it are in the file menu. you can get o the window-eyes
control panel with control backslash and if you get the demo jaws insert j
gets you to the jaws settings menus and utilities. Go to user accounts in
control panel, you'll see ask-dot-net-framework account. press enter on it,
now go to delete, and delete the account. it'll confirm the deletion which
you'll have to tab to delete again.

Also, whatever Net Framework 1.1 does at start up is stil happening. I've

computer administrater and Guest account which seems to be off.

 for

 able
 to play the game.

 All the best,

 Dark.

 Hi,
why don't you just download the demo version of Jaws or Win-eyes and
 set
 it
to start before you log into the system? That way you could easily
 install
.Framework 1.1, get around the logon screen with no trouble and then
 just
remove the .net framework accounts from the system?
It would reliably fix your issue, and you might have to do it in the

Re: [Audyssey] top speed

2007-06-21 Thread Che
Well, top speed is a relative term in rail racer, if you gear ratio is low,
your top speed will drop.
The class 3 tracks tend to be tighter, so it is hard to get up to 250 MPH
an dhigher, so you want to drop the gear ratio for those tracks.
  Later,
  Che

ya, and here is your fix. put your framework 101 back in, and reboot.
now start menu, run and type control userpasswords2 hit enter.
now tab and you will come to a list of users. This list shows all
users that the other crap in control panel don't.
once in there pick your user log name, tab and un check needs
password. Then do the ok thing and reboot after close. Your problem
solved and back to game play.
That is a old bug that hit when everyone installed framework 101 as a
 regular update.
