Hi Dark,
Yeah, I fully intend to go into detail about the weapons at some point
when i complete the user's guide. It, like the game, is a work in progress
and personally writing manuals aren't my thing. One of those necessary
evils. Grin.

dark wrote:

Hi Tom.

I like, particularly the way that item frequency is down, it makes the
game significantly different not knowing what weapons you've got.

When you eventually list weapons in the game's manual, how about a range
list? I love the aspect of using specific weapons on specific enemies,
and found myself just pistolling skeletons and saving the big guns for
the big nasties.

I also approve of the ducking sound effect, though I believe that
was in earlier.

I ended up by just going a bit loopy against the cyclopse, sinse I'd just
run out of mp5 amo, so i basically went in all guns blazing with a couple
of potions under my belt in case he beat me around,
which stratogy worked.

As always, certainly looking forward to more levels and the game's final
release, I think it's going to be a big day when you get this one out the
door.

Beware the Grue!

Dark.

Hi,
Sure. What I do is head directly for the bridge, cross it and mine the
road leading up to the bridge. That way with all of the mines on the
road most of all of the enemy tanks that come down that road will hit
the mines and will wind up heavily damaged or destroyed. After that I
cross back over the bridge, take out the troops in the woods, and wait
for my buddies to show up. Once I get some of them over the bridge I'll
form up with them and put up a smoke screen and hall butt down the road
to sector 6 with my tankes in formation. If there are any enemy tanks
left alive on the road I hammer them with anything I've got to hit them
with. They are right out in the open so nuking them with a long range
missile or something isn't a problem.

Hi Bryan,
Oh yeah, strategy plays a huge part in GTC. I just finished playing sector
3 on Today Is A Good Day To Die and without cheats that was almost
impossible. I got my butt kicked about 10 times before I finally managed
to out flank the enemy and kick some enemy tail. All I can say it was a
real pain in the butt to get to the train in time with tanks, choppers,
and everything else trying to have a piece of my butt.

Bryan Peterson wrote:

Subject: [Audyssey] MOTA and Vista 64 eddition

Hello everyone,
I've spent the passed couple of days trying to track down why Mysteries of
the Ancients is crashing on systems running Windows Vista 64 eddition.
I've got some good news and bad news on that issue. I'll start with the
good news.
The good news is thanks to some help from Che Martain and some extensive
reading I found out why the game is crashing. Apparently the DirectX
libraries were compiled using x86 as the target platform. What I didn't
know is that when linking to these libraries it is a good idea to also
compile my games using x86 as the target platform rather than using the
generic any cpu target platform option. The reason is when installing
Managed DirectX on Vista 64 it requires the 32 byt version of the .NET
Framework, but because Mysteries of the Ancients was compiled using the
any cpu target platform it was using the 64 byt .NET Framework. End result
is a big crash. That's the good news.
The bad news is I am currently using Visual Studio .NET Express 2008. The
problem I am facing now is that Visual Studio Express will not allow me to
change the target platform type of my applications. That feature is only
available in Visual Studio Pro. Which means unless I get roughly $200 to
upgrade Visual Studio to the Pro eddition I can not support Windows Vista
64 eddition at this time. I'm sorry, but until I can afford to upgrade I
can only support the 32 byt versions of Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.

Sincerely,
Thomas Ward

Vista compatibility issues have been resolveed in Beta 2 and assuming your
.NET Framework and DirectX is current I don't foresee any more issues on

Hi,
The fact you have DirectX 10 is a bit misleading I am afraid. DirectX 10
only referes to the 3D graphics components of DirectX. The Audio, input,
and other components for DirectX are still at 9.0C. To further complicate
the issue for you there is a difference between DirectX and Managed
DirectX. DirectX is the libraries for C++ based programs where Managed
DirectX is the libraries now used for C-Sharp and Visual Basic .NET based
programs. So just looking and saying I have DirectX 10 or directX 11 does
not mean your DirectX is up to date or compatible with our games. If you
want to get a compatible version which is up to date install the November
DirectX 9 release.

Hi,
Any temperary directory will do. If you don't know the path to one just
enter something like
c:\temp
into the edit box and you will b fine. Curse Microsoft for there setup
installer as this is the number one complaint with installing DirectX.

Go the my computer and right click and go to properties it sounds like you
have 64 bit vista. I know for I get that same error. If you go to my
computer and then right click on local c it will tell you if it is 64 or
not. If it says nothing then it is 32 bit. My guess though it is 64

The card isn't inserted in to the x box. It's a paper card with a number

it.
I've got one sitting right here on my table. You don't want to put this
paper card in the x box. That reminds me. There was a story a few months
ago about a lady who was adding wii points to her kid's account, it set
enter your credit card, so... She put the card in to the optical slot on
the

wii. You can guess what happened.

[Audyssey] Top Speed

2009-01-10 Thread important
Hello, recently I had to get another computer, I've lost my top speed cars and
tracks, does anyone know of a place where one can download the cars and tracks
again, for some reason it's almost impossible to find them like it's top secret
not top speed.. LOL thanks

   HelloDakotah Rickard
, I've re-installed TS2, but the download only has the basic tracks and
cars, do you have any of the many tracks and cars that were created by some
of the TS players, that would be great, like the Ford Focus stock car and
such.. Thanks

There are some cars, however, that are not in the ts2 pack. Some of
them are located at www.audiogames.net but some of them are not.

If there are cars or tracks that you do not find, let me know and I
may have them.

I think I posted a divsare link, but then again I may have not due to my
upload speed at 128k.

Sounds great, and I'm glad to see that blind games are becoming more
advanced with more imagination, can't wait to see what you have in store for
the future.. Eloheem

Hi,,
Thanks. Like Tomb Raider I plan to make additional games in the series
later on. This one is a side-scroller as that is what people voted on.
However, the rest of the games in the series will get more advanced and
will be moving to a 3D FPS format.

Very nice, being someone who played Tomb Raider many years ago I can
really appreciate this one; that was indeed my favorite game, this one is
well put together, I especially like the selection of fire power and
mystical weapons; As a blind gamer, and like many other blind game
players, I'm sure many of us will be in a total zone while adventuring
around in this tomb.. Eloheem
